Louis POV

:-:-:-:

"Brake, brake, BRAKE!" I raised my voice until I felt the car jolt forward into a hard stop at the stop sign.

A car sped past.

"Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry," she rambled.

I released the breath I was holding and twisted around in my seat, "Everyone okay?"

"We're going to die!" Brianna screamed.

"Shut up!" Angel yelled.

"She's right!" Carter said, "And I have an English paper due tomorrow."

"Shut up both of you," I snapped, sitting back against my seat and trying to calm my breathing.

I lifted the phone back up to my ear, "Hey."

"Is everyone okay?" Jo nearly shouted in my ear.

"Everyone's fi- Put on your blinker."

She quickly pulled the knob down.

"That's left, Angel. Up for right, down for-"

"Left, ugh, I knew that!" She chided herself, pulling up so the blinker changed.

"Up, right, down, left, up, right, down, left," I repeated to her.

"I got it!"

She rightfully waited until the path was clear to do her sharp turn on the road. I grabbed the door tightly to help steady myself.

"Get off of me," I could hear Brianna push Carter off of her, guessing that he lost his balance.

"You don't have to turn so hard, Angel."

"I got it." She adjusted and readjusted her fingers on the wheel.

"Obviously you don't!" Carter piped in as we came to another strain against the seatbelt and jolt forward when she pushed onto the car brake.

I hung up the phone.

"Stop pushing on the brake so hard, Angel, you're going to snap someone's neck out of place," I exhaled.

"I know, I know."

"No, you don't know! It's why I'm telling you so just listen!" I broke.

She fell silent.

"I'm pretty sure I just got whiplash."

"And stop with the commentary!" I finally snapped.

The backseat fell silent too.

I leaned back into my seat as the car continued slowly down the road. I wanted to close my eyes, but I couldn't take my eyes off from in front of me.

"I want you to turn into this parking lot," I spoke calmly again.

She put her blinker on.

"Take your foot off the pedal. You don't always have to give it gas. Just let it roll sometimes."

She nodded.

"And as we're nearing where you turn in, slowly apply your foot to the brakes."

"Slowly.. slowly.. good."

She turned into the parking lot.

"Stay on your side of the road. Always right side."

"Right," she mumbled.

"Turn in here. And park in the 4th spot on the right."

She jerkily turned into the aisle and then crookedly parked into the spot. I opened my door to see if she was in the lines.
