Josilyn POV

"Should we have it here at the house or the park?" He asks as I finish writing down balloons on the list.

"Check the weather, it's been raining a lot lately," I say as I begin writing down snacks. "What type of drinks should we have?" I mumble quietly, glancing down at my sleeping Angel peacefully curled up on the couch beside me.

Brianna sits on a couch by herself, silently twirling and twisting her doll's hair and tying it with rubber bands in every place possible. Carter quietly sits and watches.

Louis pulls out his phone and unlocks it, beginning to type, "Um.. caprisuns and lemonade for the kids, coke, sprite, and water for the adults."

I scribble down his words under the refreshments line category. I pause when Emily lets out a disappointed groan.

"What?"

"No beer?" Emily makes a face. "We're gonna be surrounded by a bunch of kids, give us something to look for."

"Really?" I scowl at her. "Alcohol at their birthday party?"

"It's not like the kids are going to be drinking it," she mutters, making a 'duh' face.

"I don't care, I don't want anyone drinking around the kids," I say firmly and then finish writing.

"Oh come on. Stop being so uptight. We'll be responsible with it."

"I'm not being uptight," I gape, "Right?" I turn to Louis. He shakes his head while still focusing down at his phone.

"See."

She rolls her eyes, "Back me up here guys."

"I don't think she is. It's an obvious thing not to have alcohol at a kid's birthday party," Liv says.

"It is?" Niall raises his eyebrow.

"What? Are you serious?" She looks at him.

"I'm with Emily here, I think beer is a good idea," he says.

"Of course you do. You're just as irresponsible with it as Emily is," she shakes her head.

"The kids are gonna be having fun. Is it illegal for the adults to have fun too?"

Angel squirms, her foot nudging against my leg. I gently pat her back.

Olivia opens her mouth to respond but I cut her mouth, "It is here. I don't want alcohol at Carter and Angel's first birthday party. I don't need drunk adults walking around everywhere when there's going to be a kid at every corner. I thought that was obvious, but I guess not. You'll understand when you get three kids, but for now– our house, our rules. End of discussion," I snap quietly.

Emily pouts in defeat as she sits back and crosses her arms.

Louis smirks, throwing his arm around my shoulder and kissing my temple, "The weather is clear but there's a 20% chance of rain so I think we should stay indoors to play it safe."

"Alright, indoors it is. If everyone who said they're coming are still coming, we should buy a bigger play pen if we're gonna fit all of the kids in."

"Milk," Carter frowns at me.

I hand over the notepad to Louis and push myself to stand. "Come here you," Carter outstretches his arms and I pick him up off the couch and hold him to me.
