"You want the simple answer, too? It's because I love you, Adeline Reilly. And I know you love me back. When I'm inside you, you won't be thinking of anything else but how to get me deeper. The only fear you'll taste is from a God sending you to heaven too soon." - Book
"Not alone, but with him. His soul. Maybe, that was all that I needed." - Quote
"Cause baby, you get me so soaked." - Song
"Asher, let's go?" I ask towards the end of English because only me, Asher and Mia are left in the class.
Me and Asher have packed up, while Mia's still finishing up her analysis of Wilfred Owen's poem, Exposure.
He scratches his nape, flashing me a boyish grin. "I'll wait for Mia."
Can I fucking get that? "Why?" I push, needing him to say it.
"Because she's my uhh-friend." A flush creeps up Mia's neck as Asher spits the words out with not even an ounce of venom that Malik displays in a single stare towards me.
"Then are we friends?" I smirk, tipping my head towards Mia.
"I guess." He curtly responds, his tone speaking volumes.
I raise an eyebrow towards Mia who's packing up right now and she looks - conflicted. She liked Eli but.....
She also liked Koifman. Adam Koifman. Is Asher on the list too? However, I refrain from asking. Her love life, her issues, her drama. I don't need fucking more.
We walk in silence, towards the music classroom. I barge in the room containing Leah, Jennie, Tyke, and Malik. Leah had an Emirati drum in her arms, she would have to go for drumming practice in like 3 minutes.
They'd asked me, Leah, Mia and Malik. Everyone but Leah refused.
Politely, Mia had left with an apology while Malik and me announced with a nonchalant tone. I couldn't care less.
Leah is fucking narcissistic and pathetic. I didn't like her nor did she like me. It's fucking obvious. But, we need each other. At least in class.
But that didn't stop me from cursing her out in the middle of band, in the middle of a fucking mental breakdown.
But, due to my lack of thoughts about my actions. Or the consequences. Asher, Malik and Pedro were convinced on kicking her out of the band. Hazza and Tyke were just adding a huge problem onto that because they would do whatever Malik told them to.
Even if it isn't right, like me. But Malik; he's stubborn like a fucking rock. You can't break that stuff, only weather it down - starting from the weakest points.
But is there a weak point if everyone praises him. Or is he a phenomenal actor?
"We're changing the song." Malik declares.
I scoff. "No fucking ways."
"Isn't Tyke's audition like today?" Leah diverts the topic, even if statistically, it is true.
"Yeah, Mia get to the piano. Asher stay with Tyke just in case he needs help. Leah, listen to him. And tune the ukulele if needed. Malik? Can you tone the drums down and listen. Okay?" I command harshly, everyone but my personal hell obeying.
He starts playing the drums as I stare at Tyke's eyes, amusement flickering through them as he tells Malik, "Milky, louder."
He can fuck himself if Tyke, out of all people can think that they can challenge me.
She-devil lines her way onto me. "You're not getting in the band if Malik doesn't behave." This sobers Tyke up from his little fit of laughter.
"Commitment issues." Leah drawls out, okay girl? We fucking get that you don't like him.
