I'm writing this a whole month after the last day of school, the last day I ever saw him.
The last words he ever spoke to solely me were :
I write 'Last Day Of School 2024-2025!!!!!' onto the board. "Put only three exclamation marks." Malik pouts and demands.
"How about no?" I retort.
Malik nudges Habeel, who erases the two extra exclamation marks but I add them on, again. This repeats on and on again until they give up.
I am stubborn and I know it.
"It's a threesome, not a fivesome." Malik murmurs with a smirk, earning a jaw-drop from me.
I accuse him, "Hey! That's my line."
He simply sends me that wolfish grin that I fell in love with.
Yes, I did fall in love with him.
Yes, I did fall out of love with him.
Yes, I am still in love with him.
I don't know if that makes sense but it does to me.
I think this is the end of Siyana and Malik, but I'm leaving a blank chapter, just in case.
Even though he was my entire book, two entire books, I think I was just a chapter in his. Or worse, just another name.
Of no relevance nor importance.
And that's what hurts more.
But not more than knowing that there will be someone else worth being his entire book while he is mine.
This is definitely not about books.
Certainly not.
However, this is the ending I'm forced to live with. But I do wish that we had one more ending.
A few more endings.
I'm afraid all that would be enough are an infinite amount of endings.
