"Because if you were mine I'd do far worse to any man who dared to do far less." - Book
"In the end, I'd loved him enough to let go. From afar, I would love him forever." - Quote
"See the light, where the sky meets the sea. It calls me." - Song
"I'm sorry what?!" I glare at Aya as she shrugs. "Siyana, everyone knew."
I grin. "That his mommy sucked way too many people for him to go to that olympiad?"
Fucking silverboy got invited to an olympiad and I didn't even though my scores in maths have consistently been higher than his.
And I found out through Aya? Oh god, no.
Fuck him.
"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you." Mia starts. "I told a girl in your new school from swimming, Lina, that you were going there but she already knew you. So, I asked her how and she said that you were the one who's dating Malik..."
I will kill myself. "What the fuck?"
"Yeah, and I swear I never mentioned anything like that to her. When I asked her how she knows, she said because basically everyone at any rich British school knows."
"Wait," I sigh. "Did you not tell her that me and him aren't dating?"
Leah's jaw drops, "Uh-I might have forgotten. It wasn't on purpose, I swear!"
"The whole town knows at this point." Aya comments.
Jennie giggles. "No shit."
I completely understand if people in other year groups in our school know about the shipping but outside the school?
I can never escape him.

The awards ceremony this year was a complete shitshow. Basically everyone and anyone got an award. It's only prestigious if you get a core subject, or a language or a sport.
I got the award for English for the entire of KS3. Malik got Geography and Spanish for Y8. He got 2 awards, and I got one.
How could he get Spanish?
I completely understand and agree with Geography but Spanish? I worked so hard for Spanish, absolutely demolished Pedro (Mexican), Habeel and Malik in speaking and writing. I won over Pedro!
I tried so hard, I'm fucking fluent in Spanish. What do you mean, Malik, who is 3rd best in our class in Spanish gets the Spanish Award for the entire year group? What do you mean Malik, who cheats on every test for Spanish gets the Award?
I'm falling out of love now, therefore, I can never blame him for acting different this year than the last.
Because how can any sane person continue to be in love with the person who has stolen something they've worked so hard for?
Maybe that's why, this year, he hasn't kept me going by arguing against me. Because he doesn't like the idea of liking me as I've stolen all of his wins from him last year. But this year, we have been sharing winning and I'm falling out of love?
I can't blame him for not wanting to like me or perhaps, completely falling out of love after last year because that would make me a hypocrite. It would be ironic.
I just don't want to think about all of this. I want to be Leah or Ava or Mia in his eyes. I want to be irrational and not understand and blame him.
But I can't, because we are the exact same person.
A curse disguised as a blessing.

"Asher's moving to BISAD too?" I ask Mia and she nods.
Another reminder of silverboy forever.
Habeel and Hijana are one of our top ships at the moment. After Mayana obviously, it's unreachable. Leah has been calling me Mrs. Awad for the past few days and it's hilarious.
Today is one of the last days in our school and hence, we have a little fest. Hijana walks up to the stage and we cheer for her. "Watch me yell 'Habeena'!" I exclaim.
She clears her throat as me and Mia interrupt, "Habeena for the win! Habeena!" She looks furious as she rolls her eyes.
"Habeena! Are you mad at me?" I yell and she looks so done with me but all of our friends are laughing.
I turn to look at Habeel, who's with Malik, Pedro and Asher. He's chuckling silently with his head in his hands.
Interesting.
Hijana speaks into the microphone. "No. I think it's Mayana for the win because the both of you are so obsessed with winning." And now, the entirety of Y8&9 start hooting and howling.
"Deserved." Jennie smirks at me as I continue to stare at Habeel to analyse his body language towards Hijana because I have nothing better to do.
While I continue with my stalkerish activities towards Habeel, a girl in 8E asks me. "Siyana, do you like Malik?"
"No?" I make a disgusted face. "I'm staring at Habeel because I think he's blushing at Hijana. Aw, so cute." I coo.
After Hijana's done, everyone erupts into applause and I scream while turning to look at Habeel. "Habeena! Woohoo, little genius!"
'Shut the fuck up.' Malik mouths at me and I mouth back, 'No.'
This continues to happen for a few more times until he fucking stands up and his friends have to hold him back.
I love riling silverboy up.
After the performance stage, we have a silent disco arrangement where me and my girls gang go crazy. Especially with Disney songs, Party In The USA, Baby and Call Me Maybe.
They also play a Kendrick Lamar song by accident.
And FE!N-
Silverboy isn't allowed to come to the middle of the dance stage due to his broken collarbone yet when FE!N starts playing on a channel that we aren't on, he walks right into the circle of my girls and Pedro, Asher. "FE!N, they're playing FE!N." He yells and everyone changes their channel to the blue one.
"FE!N FE!N FE!N FE!NFE!N" Everyone yells and I swear the ground shakes beneath us.
It's so amazing how everyone's together, regardless of any disputes or genders.
Then, we have free time and I am bored, so obviously, I turn on a True Love Calculator.
Me, Evelyn, Leah, Eliana and Jennie try anyone and everyone. The lowest rated couple was Leah and Pedro with 23% while the highest was me and Malik with a 88%.
Mia and Asher get a 54%, Leah and Asher get a 62% and Jennie and Asher get a 76%. Ava and Tyke get 56%, Ava and her three exes get 67%. All the same. Pedro gets a 63% with his girlfriend while Leah gets a 71% with her ex and Mia gets a 49% with her new boyfriend.
The boys catch on too and laugh their asses off when Hijana and Habeel get 69%. And when Habeel and Pedro get 84%.
This is hilarious, ludicrous and ridiculous but I love it. Because it's my little community.
Atleast I'll have Asher with me. One more familiar face. But one more reminder of him that I'm genuinely trying to escape.
Maybe I'll need a reminder.
