"You make my heart pound so hard it hurts, Jordan. You, your mouth, and who you are, it all makes me want to touch you. It makes me not want to stop this." - Book

My Spanish teacher says. "Siyana? You sit here. Next to her, is Malik."
***
I sit with Malik in tutor and English.
***
"Siyana and Malik!" Jennie screams.
"I sit with that idiot every living second of the day!" I whine to Evelyn as she chuckles.
"I know, like in every single class, it's like someone literally forced the teachers to put you and your best friend together." She teases.
I bite back a smile. "Shut up."
I walk over to my table, during break.
"Hey, Siyana. How was English?" Mia smirks.
"Shut the fuck up, why is everyone talking about English?" I shake my head in annoyance.
"Siyana and Malik!" Jennie squeals.
I sit down, eating my lunch. "Siyana?" Mia asks.
"Yeah?"
"Why is Troy walking over to us? And staring you down like prey?" What the fuck? No, actually?
Why is Troy in 8B walking over to us? It's okay, it's probably towards the canteen to buy chicken nuggets or stuff like that.
He rounds the corner at my table, "Someone told me that Malik likes you." He leaves as quickly as he passed by, winking, as everyone surrounding me starts 'ooh'ing.
By everyone, I meant everyone.
Mia, Jennie, Zoe, Yasmine, Ava, Evelyn, Aya, Laina, Lily, Aria, Cady, Anastasia and Maria.
I run my fingers through my hair, ready to give Troy a piece of mind but stop because I don't hate it.
Not as much as I hate Malik.
And I most definitely have a small, stupid, insignificant smile plastered onto my face.

"Our third topic is Moroccan Cuisine." My science teacher declares.
"Ugh!" I groan.
Last term, everyone chose a topic to be quizzed on. But the whole class is getting quizzed on every topic. We've had Karate and Guinea Pigs already.
Me, Evelyn, Aya and Leah are in a group. Opposite us on the table are Omar, Omar Zayn. Pedro, Asher, Aarav and David are in a group. Hailey, Eliana, Hijana, Sinamika and Jennie in one. Lastly, Tyke, Damien and Malik in one.
He asks. "Question One. What's the National Dish of Morocco?"
"Aya?"
"I don't know?! I'm Emirati, you idiot." She whines.
Evelyn reason. "You're Arab."
I squeal. "I know! It's Koshari!" I yell out as Omar, Omar and Zayn start laughing.
"She said 'Koshari'?" Malik asks from the other end of the class, arching an eyebrow, now walking over to me.
"Okay," I chuckle nervously. "Let's take a chill pill, Malik."
Amusement flickers in his eyes. "You thought I was going to yell at you?"
"Something like that?" I mumble.
"Something like that." He states. "Koshari?"
"Yeah, Koshari!" I exclaim.
He chuckles, running his fingers through his hair. God damn. "Ya Omar!" He continues to say something that I can't understand, making the three giggle.
I hiss. "Aya! Tell me what he's saying."
"He's speaking slang, Egyptian-Arabic. I don't understand."
I pout, crossing my arms. "Hanafiya!" I yell at Elhansy making everyone cackle.
"What does it mean?"
Malik scrunches his nose, shaking his head in something I'd call adoration if I'd known better.
He leans down, and whispers something about me into Omar Ismail's ear. I know it's about me with the way he's pinning me down with his stare.
"Really? Malik, do you think that Si-" He gets interrupted, making us both arch an eyebrow.
"Askut, Omar!" Malik screams but smiles at me, returning back to his seat. (Shut up)
After the quizzes, we move into English. In which, Ava finally arrives. "Oh hey there, Ava! How are you?"
"Amazing! I was too sleepy this morning, so that's why I'm like here, four hours into school." She grins.
Malik groans, as Zayn sighs. "Can you stop yapping?"
Ava shuts up but I don't, "No."
Ms. Narwin commands. "Okay, class. Get your iPads open for the newspaper article."
"Ava!" I hiss. "My iPad's dead."
"Mine, too." She whispers.
"Then, what're you going to do?" I ask.
She replies. "I'm going to take a peek off Zayn's iPad. Cause we're best friends. You should do the same with your best friend too!"
"Malik?" I smile.
"What?"
"Since we're basically besties-"
"Yeah, sure. We totally don't declare our unanimous hatred towards each other but definitely. Continue." His tone drips sarcasm but I take that's my cue.
"Can I look at the article on your iPad, please?" I give him puppy eyes in which he stares at me, amused.
"Malik!" Pedro yells. "If you give in, you'll be pussy-whipped forever!" I cup my face in offence.
Ava giggles. "Yeah, and Zayn is my best friend? Zayn?"
"What?" He spits.
"We're besties, right?"
Malik cackles. "Ya Zayn! BFF's!"
"No."
She looks dejected. Well, falsely dejected as she breaks out into a giggle. "What?"
"Hey, atleast it's better than whatever Shakespeare shit that Malik spewed out." I murmur.
"It's okay, Siyana. We'll be there for each other." I cringe in response as I lace my fingers through hers.
Malik's lips curl in disgust. "What in the lesbian, gay fuckers is this?"
"Siyana and Malik?" Ms. Narwin calls out.
"I smell drama!" Asher exclaims.
Pedro continues. "I smell two idiots in love."
"Pedro, out." He smirks and walks out.
"Siyana? Can you and your Malik share an iPad. The same with Zayn and Ava." She glares.
"Who's Malik!?!" Tyke's jaw drops.
Damien looks thoroughly entertained. "Siyana's possession."
"She doesn't own me." He utters.
"Nor does he own me." I finish.
