13. King of Anything

Chapter 13: King of Anything- Sarah Bareilles

~•^*^•~Aleks POV~•^*^•~

I woke up to Elaine already up drinking coffee and Eddie watching tv. They still were in PJs. 8:30, hm I guess everyone wanted to get a head start at PAX There was a mug of coffee on the table. I guess it was for me so I grabbed it. It felt warm against my cold hands and I took a sip. Just right. I sit next to Elaine who was on her phone. I looked over to see she was on Twitter. She looked like she was tweeting something so I glanced away just in case. She smiled and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

I walked over to our room and walked into the bathroom to brush my hair and teeth. As soon as I walk out Elaine traded places with me already dressed. She was wearing a yellow and white striped tank top with dark shorts. It was a little chilly out so she paired the outfit with a cream sweater and some combat boots. Me, I decided to wear a white Adidas shirt and jeans. I slipped on my sambas and waited by the door.

Elaine walks out a few minutes later with her hair straightened and makeup done. Eddie walks out of his a few minutes later.

"Ready?" I ask them.

"Yep." They both say. We all walk out and call a cab to take us to PAX.

We arrive at PAX and check in. Luckily we were able to pass the long line since we were part of the Machinima Crew. We all made sure we didn't get separated as we made out way over to the booth. I spot Ze and hug him. He was so nice and quiet but had the dirtiest mouth out there. Sly sits down and sets up his station. He was signing shirts and other stuff fans gave him. I ducked behind the booth and set up the equipment we were going to use for our previews and introductions.

We had a booth and a little stage just for the Machinima Company. I was a host and so was Aleks. We had little guest stars including the Creatures and Skydorsminecraft and others. 10:30 time to start. I then put on a leather jacket and fluffed my hair a bit. Got to give the fans a good impression. I take my stand at stage right and Aleks takes his at left. We heard a camera man say

"We are live get on stage." So we hop up onto stage and start the show. Someone set up 2 laptops at the back of the stage and 2 stools.

"Hi everybody my name is Squishy or Elaine." I here a few people scream and I smile and hold the mic.

"Hey everyone my name is ImmortalHD or just Immortal." Aleks says flashing a smile that made every girl in the room melt.

"Or Aleks!" I said excitedly. We stood next to each other as we introduced the show.

"Well everyone we now are answering questions on Twitter so hit us up." We make our way over to the laptops and start to answer questions. We each picked ten and asked them. The first one was for Aleks and asked if she could marry him. I choose that of course to see his face which was priceless. He then asked me "Elaine could we do a sing-off? Right here, right now?" I laugh as I call the person to get up on stage. My heart drops as I see who it is. Bryan. I knew he was good but I was worried about what he would sing. He sang 'Forget you' by Ce Lo Green. Wow classic.

I walked over to the audio guy and whispered to him what song I want. His song ends and I grab the mic and my song automatically plays. The intro starts and I hear a ton of people cheer. I got this. I prepare myself and take my stance as I belt out the first lines,

"Keep drinking coffee

Stare me down across the table

While I look outside

So many things I'd say if only I were able

But I just keep quiet and count the cars that pass by

You've got opinions man

We're all entitled to

But I never asked

People cheer as I get in his face. He backs up and I feel great inside. I knew I picked the right song. 'King of Anything' by Sarah Bareilles

He starts to walk towards me but I don't care. Yeah that's right.

This was one of the best feelings I have ever had. I finish off my song and the whole crowd cheered and I screamed with excitement.

"Well looks like we have a winner." Aleks says as Bryan storms off stage. I didn't even think that I could sing. I played bass, and guitar but I never sang. Everyone in the audience quiets down as we invite our guests up and move on with the show. We conclude our show but Aleks stops me.

"Wait I have one more Twitter question." He says and gets up from the laptop to where I was standing. He smiles and I prepare myself for a fucked up question. But to my surprise its not.
