Chapter 16: Broken (Acoustic) - lovelytheband

One Week Later

I woke up to see Aleks already awake and dressed. He was laying out my clothes and packing up the bag Sly had brought. That reminded me of last night. What happened to him to make him so upset. Did Natalie break up with him? His mom is sick? Or Puppy Cop? Puppy Chef? Or what about Puppy Nurse? Well whatever it is he is really bothered by it. My eyes gaze up to the tv which is on the news. Ugh I hated the news. I went back to closing my eyes and fell half asleep. A few minutes later a body sat down by my hips and started to shake me lightly.

"Elaine? Time to wake up sweetheart." He cooed. I smiled as my eyes flickered open. I gave him a light kiss on the lips as I sat up.

"Morning. What time is it?" I ask calmly taking in my surroundings.

"10:30. We have to get up. I already checked you out all you have to do is get dressed." He chuckled as he turned around and walked out the door. He was so sweet and actually respected my privacy instead of those assholes that try to see you naked. I went into the bathroom and turned on the shower. I walked in and cleaned my body except for the wound. I then very gently washed around my stitches. After I finish shampooing and conditioning, I turn off the shower and clean the wound. I quickly put on my clothes and wrap my stomach. I glance in the mirror. I pulled my hair into a messy bun and tie my shoes. My hair was dry by now so luckily nothing had a water stain. I cleaned up my makeup and grabbed the bag and slipped out of the door and walked up to Aleks.

"What do you think? You think you could be my personal stylist or what?" I laughed as I slipped my hand into his. He turned to face me and his jaw pretty much dropped. I guess he liked it.

"Yeah I think so babe." He says using his free hand grab my waist and pull me in for a kiss. He gave me that adorable heart melting prize smile which made me blush and giggle.

"No you can have it, I like it on you, it brings out your beautiful eyes." He says letting go of my waist but keeping his hand in mine. A few people around us started to whisper about most likely us. Once we get out a few fans ran up and bombarded me with questions. Aleks pulled me closer to him and simply told the fans that I wasn't feeling good and couldn't answer questions. The fans looked disappointed and lingered away until one fan was left. Aaron. I pulled myself from Aleks grasp and nearly tackled him. After a few seconds he pulled back and laughed. I dragged him over to Aleks. Aleks looked pissed.

He glared at Aaron and gripped my hand tight. I kissed him on the cheek and he relaxed.

"Aleks, this is Aaron. He is a fan and now a friend I met in the park last week." I said smiling towards Aaron. They shook hands and Aleks barely smiled.

"Nice to meet you. Elaine I am going to wait in the car." He said quickly storming off to the car.

"Okay." I smile and try to kiss him but he shook me off. This was weird, Aleks was never like this.

"Sorry Aaron. I don't know what's up with him. He usually isn't like this." I said sheepishly. He just laughed and replied,

"It's alright, he is just jealous. Guys usually get like that when they have a pretty girlfriend." Did he just call me pretty? Well this was a first. The only person that complimented my appearance and I felt really meant it was Aleks. It felt good though.

"Yeah, I guess." I said softly.

"Elaine listen I am so sorry. I should have offered to bring you back to the hotel. It's my fault I didn't help you out when I met you. I am so sorry. I hate myself for it. You should not have been shot. I feel like an idiot for not giving you a ride." He cried. Tears started to slip down his cheek which made me start to cry.
