JOSH POV.

I filled Will in on Georges worried thoughts, he mention the had thought it would happen when his mother mentioned it. That he was hoping moving away would ease his mind. Though it obviously didn't.

"Dada, Daddy? Can we go for a walk? Lilah and Charlie has been on one aw day, we goes too?" He asked. He woke up grumpy and had just gotten out of time out 5 minutes ago after throwing a plate across the room and was now back to his usual self. I look at Will, who also seemed quite tired.

"Sure, but after we'll have a mid day nap, both of you seem to need it." I mentioned grabbing Georges and my shoes as Will grabbed his, sluggishly, I might add.

"I don't get how you both have so much energy." He grumbled. I pulled him in by the waist and kissed his temple, and George ran up, kissing the other one.

"Walk, walk, walk, walk!" He chanted. Pulling us to the door.

"Put your shoes on bud, don't want you to get hurt." He huffed and grabbed his shoes, shoving them on his feet impatiently. He waited for me to tie his shoelaces and was jumping, waiting for Will to tie his own. When he was ready, we were off, walking through unmarked woods. I knew it was safe, highted senses came in handy during these times. That and I'd marked the area so other wolves would know it's our territory. And it's already Will's territory, meaning other vampires would know its off limits, its up to them to decide if its worth prodding around or not.

Geirge began skipping ahead. I warned him not to leave our sights, and he agreed, complaining we were slow.

"I've put Reggie up to a task." Will sates watching George with admiration. A look I'll never get tired of. I gave a noise indicating him to continue. "He's gonna look around for other half demons." I faulted in my steps when George looked back. I gave him a smile. "He'll be careful, don't worry, he's one of the oldest in the coven, he knows what he's doing. I just think Grorgie needs to see for himself what being a half demon is like. And if I need to meet the demon king himself I will, anything for him to know he's safe, and maybe they'd be more willing to tell him more about who he is, to control his demon side rather than suppress it."

It was a good idea, but risky. No one goes anywhere near the demon king, nor knows how to get to him without giving up their soul. I gave him a worried look he gave me a look of "I know what I'm doing" back. George had turned around and waited for us to join him. I gave will a look of "I hope so." Before looking back to George, who looked confused and frustrated.

"Yous are speaking with your eyes again!  What are yous talking about. I wanna know!!" He complained, pulling the cutest pouty face.

"What were gonna have for dinner tonight." I lied. He doesn't need to know about Reggie. It'll be fine. This is the least stressed I've seen him in a long time. I don't want it to end again. George opened his mouth to say something before Will cut him off.

"We're not having cookies or ice cream for dinner. It has to be dinner foods." George pouted again and walked off his mood changed when he realised he could run around again. Will looked to me again. "We need to know. He needs to know. He still struggles sleeping because of his mother's words, and I don't accept that he still has to suffer when he is so close to being... okay. He's been through so much in a small amount of time that he deserves happiness. Josh and I will risk people for that." I give an affirmative hum, and we continue our walk.

"How long until Reggie is meant to be back?" I ask, keeping my eyes on George in case of any dangers. These days, I can't keep my eyes off him. The overwhelming need to protect has grown the last few days. Wills right, he is so close to being more than okay. It's just this one last thing.

"He has 3 months with regular check-ins. He doesn't necessarily need to see the demon king. Just needs to find someone to help us. Give us knowledge. Geirge can't be the only half demon in the whole world. If Reggie comes back with absolutely nothing, then the research stops, and we figure it out by ourselves." He explains. George has been doing good at not going too far. He never really wants to go too far. I am thankful for that. The anxious look I get when he can't see us is not something I'm thankful for, though. When was the last time we had separate time.

"It sounds like a logical plan. He hasn't exposed any... symptoms? Of being a demon since you and Sage. I'm sure he will be fine. He barely showed anything before. Even if his birth giver is right and his powers are only now festering beneath him, it's only doing it slowly, manageable. It seems more emotion based than anything. We can handle that." I grab wills hand, ending the conversation and catching up to George, pricking him up bridal style and lightly chucking him up into the air before catching him. Causing him to scream with giggles.

"Dada!!!" He squeeled, holding onto my neck. "Daddy!! Dadas mean." Will let's out a breathy laugh as he joins next to me, brushing back Georges hair and kissing him on the forehead.

"How dare Dada scare you like that." Will coos holding his hands out. "Wanna come to Daddy?" George immediately holds his hands out to will, and I smilepassing him off to his desired caregiver. We finished our walk talking about anything that came to mind, and by the time we got back, I saw my brother waiting for us on the porch of the cabin.

"Victor?" I say in means of greeting. Ezra was standing next to him, reeking of mateing scent. I give my brother a knowing look, but his face gives nothing away. Ezra pulls George into the tent I'm sure to gush over his visit to his home pack.

"Yous mated," not a question,  Will gave an odd look at me. Vamps, while they have extraordinary scent, just isn't as good as that of a wolf's.

"Yeah. However, dad isn't too happy at the moment. The rogues have been much weaker recently, but they're not stopping any time soon. They're now just a pain in his side. You know what's coming up, right? You better not miss it this year. You do, and I'll rip your head." I give an affirmative hum. He seems all buisness no banter right now, and i was not going to push him. He's always like that this time of year "I'll be back if I can ever get time off or if Ezra wants to come back. I'll keep in touch, talk to dad whenever you can. If I have to endure his wrath, so do you." He called out to Ezra, and Ezra came running. He gave a heartfelt goodbye before Victor walked off home, and Ezra returned to the tent.

"What's happening soon?" Will asked, noticing the solom look on my face.

"Mums death anniversary." I say in a clipped tone. "When the Luna of the pack dies, everyone one in the pack must attend the anniversary of her death and pay  their respect. It's in two weeks."

"Why haven't you gone in the past couple of years?" He asks. I give him a confused look.

"I go every year. It's the only pack business I ever talk about." I look towards the tent. "George Ezra! Nap time!" I call out there's rustling in the tent before 2 littles poke their heads out of the curtains.

"Give us a minuet!" Calls Ezra. George had the respect to add a please after him.

"Just a little bit? Please? We needa catch up!" I agree. Will an I go inside and do a little bit of cleaning up before George comes in giggling with Ezra.
