The next morning, after their wild escapade in the Caracara's bathroom, things seem back to normal between Giselle and Jax.

Giselle, coffee mug in hand, goes looking for him and finds him in their room. The second she sees him, a smile spreads across her face-and his does the same.

"What's the run?" she asks, tilting her head slightly as she watches him "Children's Hospital in Eureka," he replies "SAMCRO: community servants," she teases, flashing a sly grin.

"That's what we're all about, baby," he shoots back, smirking.

Giselle lingers by the door, just watching him as he gets ready. There's that small smile tugging at her lips, the kind she can't hide even if she tries. He notices, of course. He always notices.

Matching her grin, he steps closer, sliding his hands to her hips and pulling her gently toward him. Without wasting a second, he kisses her-a soft, slow, unhurried kiss. Romantic as hell.

But then, the moment is broken by the unmistakable cry of Abel from down the hall.

Giselle laughs quietly, resting her forehead against Jax's. "My boy. The master of timing," he mutters, looking at her with that smoldering gaze that never fails to make her stomach flip.

With one last smile, she turns toward the door, ready to go check on Abel, but Jax grabs her hand, stopping her.

"I love you," he says, his voice steady but quieter than usual.

Giselle freezes, her eyes widening slightly as she looks back at him. For a moment, she doesn't say anything-partly out of surprise, partly because the words hit her harder than she expected.

She hadn't let herself think about the possibility of loving someone again, not after Christian. The scars from that were still there, but somehow...here she was.

Realizing she hasn't said anything, she shakes her head, chuckling softly. "I love you too."

Jax lets out a small laugh of his own, relief washing over him as the tension in the air disappears. For a second there, he'd actually thought she wasn't going to say it back.

"I got him," he says, kissing her forehead quickly before heading off to check on his son.

Giselle sits on the edge of the bed, still a little stunned. Saying I love you has never been easy for her, not since Christian. Back then, she'd convinced herself she wouldn't be able to love anyone else. Yet here she is.

When Jax comes back into the room with Abel in his arms, he pauses, noticing the far-off look in her eyes. "What?" he asks, his voice laced with curiosity.

She blinks, meeting his gaze "I'm your Old Lady," she says, the realization settling over her.

He chuckles, walking with Abel in tow. "Damn right you are," he says, heading to the kitchen.
