MorningNAGI POV
Me {After apologizing to my classmates, I went to the gym. Soon, the 3rd years who were in the thank you meeting would come out. The people around me were eagerly awaiting their arrival. How many people were around me? From what I could see, there were about 100. There was a person that I recognized, standing a small distance away from the main group of people}
??? [You're here too, Nagi-kun]
Me {I greeted Suzune, who was standing in the middle of the crowd}
Me [Hey, Suzune... How are you doing?]
Me {I'll admit, talking to her feels kind of weird talking with her. But I can manage}
Suzune [I'm alright, for now. How about you?]
Me [I'm doing well, I guess...]
Me {We sat there in awkward silence until the Thank You Meeting held at the gym was finally over, and the doors opened. It was officially over. Now was the final chance for the graduates to formally communicate with the remaining students. After it ended, a stream of 3rd years came out. Most of them were happy, but some were not smiling, after all they are graduating. It must feel exhilarating}
Me [Suzune]
Suzune [Yes, Nagi-kun? What is it?]
Me [You should go]
Suzune [I know...]
Me {It was obvious, well maybe only to me, that the only reason Suzune was here was because of her desire to talk with her brother. However, her body wouldn't move. During her moment of uncertainty, more and more students started to approach Manabu. I pushed the hesitant Suzune's back}
Suzune [Wait... Wait a minute—]
Me [Use your privilege as his sister]
Me {Although I repeatedly urged her, Suzune insisted on not moving forward}
Suzune [It's going to be weird if I ran to his side now]
Me {I studied Suzune's profile as we stood a short distance from the commotion surrounding Manabu. Her expression was calm as always, but there was something else there—a flicker of hesitation in her usually sharp eyes. The subtle clenching of her fists told me she was holding herself back, but I couldn't figure out why.}
Me [Suzune, it wouldn't be weird, or are you just scared?]
Me {She turned her head sharply toward me, her brow furrowing}
Suzune [Don't get me wrong, Nagi-kun. I'm not scared. My brother's three years... this is the culmination of everything he's worked for during these three years. I just... wanted to see it for myself.]
Me {I tilted my head slightly, watching her carefully. Her words sounded logical, but there was a softness to the way she spoke—a vulnerability I didn't often see in Suzune. It wasn't about fear, not in the traditional sense. She was grappling with something deeper, something more personal. How cute, I thought, though I didn't dare say it out loud. For a moment, I wondered what it might be like to have a sibling—a younger or older brother or sister to look up to or protect. But I shook the thought away. Instead, I stuck out my hand toward her, a small smile tugging at the corner of my lips}
Me [Then why don't we talk to him together?]
Me {She blinked, clearly taken aback by the gesture. Her eyes flicked between my hand and my face, hesitation written all over her expression. For a moment, I thought she might refuse. But then, with a deep breath, she reached out and placed her soft hand in mine.}
