Chapter 10

"Mom? What are you doing here?!" I hissed. Seeing her makes me want to rip someone's head. Can you believe it? After dumping dad for another man three years ago, she still has the nerve to show herself?

"Chelsea, oh, you've grown up!" She said, smiling sadly. Even though she left dad and I, she still has a space in my heart. She's still my mother. But she doesn't need to know that.

"Yes mother. I've grown up." I spat coldly. I want to show her how I felt when she left me during that day. It hurts! What will you do if your mom leaves you? Throw a party?

I stood aside, letting her in. I don't want her to catch a cold outside.

She smiled at me before going in, taking a seat on the couch after. The sparkle in her blue eyes that I used to see was gone and she still has her long blond hair. She somehow has these motherly and welcoming aura around her. I know it's hard to believe that a person like her will leave us but she did. Looks are deceiving.

I took a seat opposite from her and just stared at her. It's awkward but my anger took over me. I bet I look like a grumpy old man right now.

"Is your dad here?" She asked. I flinched at her question but quickly composed myself. It is clearly obvious that she's really uncomfortable with me. We used to be super close before. She pretended to be distracted by the vase on the glass table.

"No, he's not here. He shall be home any minute now." I replied flatly, still staring at her and her movements. I feel bad for making her uncomfortable but I have the right to, don't I? She isn't even sorry for leaving us. She firmly nodded in response.

I wont make any coffee or anything for her. It's not like I invited her here. She looked at anywhere but me. She doesn't want to lock gazes with me; probably because I look furious right now.

"Chelsea, what's for dinner?" I heard my dad's voice from the door frame. When he saw mom, his eyes widened and his mouth gaped open. "Angela?" He said in disbelief and shock. Her name is too far from her personality.

"Tom." She greeted, nodding her head curtly. I'm wondering what she really wants now. Maybe fuck my dad because her fuck buddy dumped her? Or ask money because her daughter is sick? Yes, she has a three year old daughter. I feel sorry for her somehow, probably because her mom is a slut.

Man, I felt guilty for saying that.

"What are you doing here?" He asked, scanning her. I almost laughed when he scanned my mom for any damages or scratches, considering that I look furious and ready to kill.

"I want to see both of you." She smiled sheepishly. That's it? She just wants to see us? Selfish motherfucker. Our lives were already peaceful and good and then she showed up? Dad just moved on over her months ago and she's here again to fuck things up.

"That's it? You can leave now. You already saw us." I spat, making dad snap his eyes at me. Can he blame me?

"Chelsea, that's not how you treat your mother. Show her some respect." My dad scolded. Mom is just sitting there uncomfortably.

"Respect her? She's not worthy, not even a bit. How can I respect her when she, herself, can't respect herself and go slutty over other men." I sneered. She was pregnant of his new husband's child before she left us. She cheated on dad but before either of us can know, she left us.

"Chelsea." My dad gave me a warning look before looking at my mother apologetically. Now he's apologizing to her? That even made my blood boil more. I can still see that he still loves her despite the fact that she cheated and left him. I shook my head and ran to my room. I want to give them some time to talk alone.
