Chapter 11
I haven't seen Jace yesterday, I didn't even notice his absence. Maybe because I was busy doing projects and school stuffs.
I am currently walking towards our school. Wendy's sick. Yeah, it sucks.
When I finally arrived at school, I automatically saw a bunch of girls gushing and squealing. Most of them were Jace's fangirls. I rolled my eyes. They're probably talking about Jace again.
"Chelsea!" Chantal called out cheerily. She was also Jace's fangirl but she's nice.
"Oh hey Chantal!" I smiled. We don't really talk unless we're on the same group for group projects.
"Have you heard?" She squealed.
"Nope. What is it?" I asked politely. I don't want to act that we're close.
"There's a new student!" She squealed again.
"Brody?" I asked.
"Nope! Another new student!" She grinned.
"Oh hey! Brody the new kid? Well he's super hot and we fu-" A girl from nearby said. I left the bunch of squealing girls and went inside.
-----
Class ended 10 minutes ago. The day was the same... boring and uneventful. Jace is still not here at school. Maybe I should visit him.
'Nah, Don't act like his girlfriend Chelsea. You're probably just nothing to him'. A voice at the back of my head said.
'It's just a friendly visit!' I argued. The last sentence that my subconscious said somehow hurt me.
Great, I'm talking to myself.
"Hey!" It's the witch, Whitney. I haven't seen seen her for how many days.
"Yeah?" I raised an eyebrow. What does she want now?
"Stay away from Jace." She sneered. Inching closer to me to look intimidating. She looks taller than me because of her heels.
"Why?" I know it's a lame comeback but I just want to know what she got.
"Isn't it obvious? He's mine!" She said in a 'duh' tone.
"He's yours?" I scoffed. "You're just one of his barbies." I said, matching her tone.
"So now I'm one of his barbies? What about you, huh?" She smirked. Well, she admitted she's one of his girls.
"I don't like him. So that means I'm not one of his girls." I chuckled humorlessly. She sent me a glare before storming off.
That's it? No catfight?
"Hey Kale." I greeted him when I saw him walking my way.
"Yow Chels." He smiled. "Please come with me." It sounded like a demand but I nodded anyway. "You're not going to ask where?" He asked.
"Would you tell me if I asked?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Nope." He chuckled. He grabbed my hand and led me to his car.
-------
"Where are we going?" I asked. He just chuckled and turned the radio's volume up, Katy Perry's Teenage Dream blaring from it.
"Yup. We're here." He spoke after being silent for ten minutes.
"Your house? I mean, Jace's house and... you know, your house too." I grinned awkwardly. He just gave me a cute smile. "Oh, no. Um, er. Kale, you're cute and all but you're just a friend-" I was cut off by his laughter. I raised an eyebrow stared at him.
