Chapter 18

"God, this isn't me." I stared at Wendy with horror. She smirked at me and whipped the video of Jace and I last night in her purse.

"Well, yeah. Tell me what happened last night when Jace and you went out." She wagged her eyebrows.

"You dirty woman, everything you think about is sex." I rolled my eyes. I wanted to keep my conversation with Jace last night private. I mean, it's not my place to tell.

"That's what I'm born for." She said, clearly understanding me. I smiled gratefully at her and went to the lunchroom quietly.

"Hey," Wendy greeted Kale with a kiss. I grimaced at the PDA and sat with the boys, waiting for Jace.

I saw him flirting with one of the cheerleader, one table ahead of me. It panged me a tad but who am I to be jealous.

Yes, I admit.

He saw me staring at them and a smirk instantly appeared on his face. I rolled my eyes at his forthcoming body.

"May I?" He bowed slightly, reaching his hand for me. I smiled and took his hand. The girl he flirted with earlier sent me a nasty look.

"Will you runaway with me?" He smiled. I rolled my eyes again and nodded.

"You know that over sixty pairs of eyes are on us, right?" I whispered, my eyes roaming around the cafeteria.

"Isn't that a good thing?" He shrugged.

We headed to the parking lot and got in his car.

"What do you want in my house, anyway?" I asked, fiddling with the hem of my shorts.

"You cook lasagna, correct?" He smirked. I nodded.

The silence was awkward, I don't know if I should bring up our conversation last night or be contented in our silence.

"So, how did Asher and you meet?" He broke the ice. I stared at him befuddled for a moment before composing myself.

I didn't know that he's interested in Asher's and my story. I gave him a seriously? look and he sighed.

"Yes, It's quite interesting how you accepted that douche in your life." He grinned. Now, I took in his features.

His piercing blue eyes looked like he can make you piss your own pants with just one look and make you fall at the same time. His hair looks so soft, maybe even smoothen than mine. His lips were so tempting, it looks like it has its own life and screaming at you to kiss them. His body is so glorious that it put Sean O'Pry to shame.

I'm sure that's what most girls made them fall over heels for him.

But I was not most girls, his attitude was the main thing why he had me wrapped around his fingers.

"He's nice, or what I thought before." I answered.

He scoffed and titled his head slightly to me. "Now, what do you think of him?"

"I think he's a man-whore who thinks they can just fuck anyone when he has a problem and he knows pretty well that he still has his girlfriend waiting for his call." I shrugged nonchalantly.

Jace stared at me, amused. "His loss."

I nodded aggressively at him while pouting my lips. He's so right. Asher didn't know what he has lose. A girl who memorized almost every country's presidents and a girl who can chug down a whole glass of beer with one gulp.

See? I'm unique!

He swerved to my front yard and parked. I didn't see dad's car anywhere so I assumed he's having a date with mom since he didn't go to work this morning. I actually smiled at that.
