Ayla picked up a file that had been left on the desk, flicking through the papers. There were references to other international figures, large-scale operations, and missions that were linked back to the task force. 

She began cross-referencing names with the files Selene had uncovered earlier, piecing things together. Some of the people mentioned were in the same circles as the corporate elites Selene had warned her about—those who thought they were untouchable.

Suddenly, Ayla's phone buzzed, snapping her out of her thoughts. It was a message from her contact. She opened it eagerly and read:

Ayla's heart skipped a beat. If Leo was still active in the shadows, running operations and orchestrating events, it was even more dangerous than Selene had let on.
