Ayla nodded slowly, understanding the bittersweet truth in his words. "I think she still cares about you too, you know," she said quietly. "I see it when she talks about you. It's complicated, but she's never really gotten over you."
Leo gave her a small, almost sad smile. "Maybe one day, she'll find peace with all of this. Maybe we both will."
Ayla could feel the weight of the past still hanging heavily over them both. It wasn't just the breakup—it was the loss, the choices, and the sacrifices they had both made. But as she looked at Leo, she knew that he wasn't the enemy, that he was simply someone who had loved and lost, just like Selene.
"Thanks for telling me all of this," Ayla said softly. "It helps me understand her better. And... it helps me understand you better too."
Leo nodded, his eyes glistening with a mix of gratitude and sadness. "No problem, Ayla. Just... don't give up on her, okay? Don't give up on what you have with her. It's worth fighting for."
Ayla took a deep breath, feeling the weight of his words. She wasn't sure what the future held for her and Selene, but she knew one thing: their story was far from over.

Selene paced the room, her mind racing with the weight of everything that had unfolded. The discovery about her parents, the dark secrets of the task force, Leo's parents' involvement—it was all too much to process at once. But she knew one thing for sure: her family, her brothers, needed to be informed. They had been part of her life, her support system, and now, it was time for them to know everything. They couldn't be kept in the dark any longer, not when their lives were intertwined with the mess she was caught up in.
She picked up the phone and dialled Nico's number first, her younger brother. She needed his quick action and understanding. It only took a few rings before he picked up.
"Nico," she said, her voice steady but tinged with urgency. "I need you to come to the club. Giovanni too. There's something important we need to talk about."
There was a slight pause on the other end before Nico responded. "What's going on, Selene? You sound serious."
"I'll explain everything when you get here. Just get Giovanni, and come fast. We don't have much time."
Another pause, but this time it was Nico who broke the silence. "Alright. We're on our way. Just... be safe, okay?"
"I will," Selene said softly before hanging up.
Her heart beat faster as she immediately dialled Giovanni's number. Her older brother was the more level-headed of the two, the one who could take control when things were chaotic. She needed him to be there—his calm presence would help her get through whatever was to come.
"Giovanni," Selene said when he picked up. "It's time. You and Nico need to come to the club. There's something I need to tell you both. It's about the family."
Giovanni's voice was serious, even through the phone. "What happened? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, but there's a lot you need to know. You're going to want to be here. It's about Mom and Dad... and everything that's been going on with the task force."
His voice became more urgent. "Alright. We're coming. Just stay where you are."
Selene ended the call and took a deep breath. She knew this would change everything, but there was no turning back now. She needed her brothers with her—both of them. It was time for the family to come together, to face the truth, no matter how painful it was.
Minutes later, Nico and Giovanni arrived, stepping into the club. Nico was the first to speak as they approached Selene, both of them clearly concerned.
