Volume 5~ The script

(For this chapter the story will focus on our cute Mangaka and her sensei)

It was the 6th day of the rehearsal and the members were gathered in the room.

Kindaichi- We talked to the original manga side, and they said that they'll contact us as soon as the script is done, till then the rehearsals will be on hold

Akane- What a mess, we've gotten into...

Mei- Well, we can't do anything without the consent of the original author, can we?

Akane crossed her hands. Aoi was standing right beside her and looked at her

Akane- I hate the fact we stopped rehearsing, this time we'll play at the stage around. The more we rehearse the better we get...

Aoi- Rehearsing won't help if we don't have a script

Akane- Are you fine with sitting around and doing nothing?

Aoi- You're wasting energy on something that's not there. There's no point rehearsing without knowing what you're performing

Akane- Yeah, but I hate that feeling. Being stuck like this, waiting for the script. It's a big stage you know?

Aoi nods, he can understand that she wants to nail the performance.

Aqua- Now that you mentioned it, what is a 'Stage around'?

Mei and Akane looked shocked. Aoi blinks.

Akane- WHAT!? You don't know but you joined the rehearsal!? 

Mei- You can't imagine the stage without knowing, you know?!

Aqua- Most stages are the same right?

Akane pouts.

Mei- What...?

Akane- You don't really like stage plays, huh? Aqua-Kun

Aoi moves away, and then to Kana.

Aoi- You free?

Kana looked behind at Aoi.

Kana- Yeah

He turned and started walking toward the exit, his pace slow but steady. Kana followed him without a word. Mei, still caught up in the conversation with Akane, noticed Aoi and Kana moving away. She gave Akane a quick glance.

Mei- Seems like your brother is also going on a date too

Akane was wearing her brown trench coat, ready to out with the sudden date to a stage play she proposed to Aqua.

Akane- Don't be ridiculous, Aoi doesn't go on dates

Mei-  That's why he's walking off with Kana, right?

Akane squints her eyes from where Aoi left.

Akane- He's just friends with my rival...

Her voice was kinda bitter. She knows Aoi is kinda protective of Kana, not just as her manager.

Akane- He just likes her company. It's not a big deal

Kana isn't just a rival, she's someone who has a similar passion for acting, someone who always seems to challenge Akane's place. The genius actress in history vs the genius actress today...

Mei- Well, he's not the little Aoi from before

Akane- Yeah

Akane sighs.

Akane- Well! I must get going now

Akane looks at Aqua extending her hand.

Akane- Since we have time, let's go on a date!
