An office room came into view. It was dark, the only light coming from a single desk lamp. At the desk sat a man, his face half-hidden in the dim light, his fingers steepled as he leaned back in a high-backed chair. His voice was low, smooth, and filled with satisfaction.
Man- Mika really was a good pawn. Reliable, obedient...until she wasn't. Such a shame her feelings got in the way
Across from him stood a woman. She was motionless, her arms crossed, her expression unreadable in the shadows. She didn't respond, but her silence was attentive. He leaned forward, the lamp catching the glint in his azure eyes. The pair of dark 6-pointed stars grew out.
Man- Still, it worked out better than I'd hoped. The biggest obstacle is out of the way now. Exactly where we need him
The woman shifted slightly.
Woman- You're sure about that? We still don't know if he's dead. And people like him...they won't stay down for long
The man chuckled, pointing at the static camera on his laptop. He saw everything.
Man- Dead or alive, it doesn't matter. Right now, he's off the board for a while
As the lightning struck. The room was lit for a moment, and the man's face was seen.
Hikaru Kamiki
And the woman was recognized as Nino Fuyuko.

Two Hours After the Incident.
7:23 PM
After two long hours of steady downpour, the skies grew quiet. A man in a dark jacket walked up the bridge, hands in his pockets. He seemed to be in a good mood, humming to a song he was listening to.
He reached the top of the bridge. At first, he didn't notice. Then, a few steps in, he slowed. The smell of dried crimson hit his nose.
As he neared the center of the bridge, his eyes caught the shape of someone, slumped against the railing and another one on the ground, motionless aswell. His breath caught as he took a hesitant step closer. One body was clearly lifeless, leaning against the railing. The other was of a young man laying face up, his clothes stained, his eyes shut.
Man- W-what is that?!
Fumbling with his phone, he quickly dialed emergency services and got the notices that a team has been dispatched. The man sighed shakily and used the torch of his phone to get a closer look at the young man.
Man- Aoi...Kurokawa?!
Within 15 minutes the team arrived. Two ambulances. Three police cruisers. A forensic van followed closely behind. The scene was guarded with tapes. The man who made the call stood near the railing, still shaken. An officer gently kept him back as paramedics rushed in.
Paramedic 1- He's alive. Weak pulse...We need pressure on the wound, now!
As Aoi was lifted gently onto the stretcher, the medical team worked with practiced urgency, but their eyes lingered on his face. They knew it too.
Young officer- He seems familiar...is that Aoi Kurokawa?
There was atmosphere of shock and disbelief.
Older officer- He's been on the news nonstop lately...especially with that kid of his
Just a few feet away, another officer was kneeling beside the lifeless woman at the railing. Her hoodie was damp and stuck to her skin. Her face, though paler now, still had recognizable features.
Officer- Mika...?
He leaned in, pulling a small flashlight from his belt. As the beam lit her face, his own went pale.
