Volume 9~ Calculations

The new B-Komachi's heated live concert brought in thousands of fans. It was just their second concert after the JIF, so it was a good accomplishment for them. After the concert was over, Aoi was already there waiting for them with new sets of towels, and bottles of water. Behind him on the chair were their favorite drinks, which Aoi had learned over time by himself. He'd paid attention to what each of them often asked for when they went out, remembering which drinks they always seemed to enjoy.

Aoi- Good job you three

He says giving them the towels and the bottle, then the cans.

Kana- Thanks Aoi...

Mem- You're the best, Ao-Kun!

Ruby giggles slightly.

Ruby- You really know how to take care of us, Aoi-Kun. I might just start expecting this every time

Aoi scratches the back of his neck, he is sweating himself. So he went out mid concert to fetch them their favorite cold drinks to help them cool down after the blast concert.

Ruby looked at Kana and notices that she's been quiet.

Ruby- You're awfully quiet, Senpai. Everything okay?

Kana shrugs.

Kana- Just tired

Aoi looked at her, but he looked...rather concerned.

Aoi- You should rest

Kana- I'll be fine

She forces a smile, but she may or may not know, she's basically transparent to him. He kept quiet.

Aoi- If you say

Later they boarded the car. Aoi got the entire backseat for himself yet he moved to a corner to look out of the window. Mem and Kana took the middle with Mem's seat behind the driver's seat and Kana's behind the passenger seat. Miyako drove and Ruby took the passenger seat, texting someone on her phone with disinterest.

Mem- Aqu-Tan didn't show up to our concerts today!

Miyako is sitting straight, her eyes sharp and focused on the road ahead, answered.

Miyako- No, he's filming Dig Deep, one chance. A total of three episodes, so, he'll be working late

When Mem was about to say something, Kana spoke up.

Kana- Drop me off at the Ebisu, please. I have something to do

Miyako glanced, confused, she said.

Miyako- Sure

And then Kana went down the car and started walking away as the car continued down the road, the gentle hum of the engine accompanying the silence that had fallen over the group. Kana's sudden departure has got Mem, who had been staring out of the window, concerned.

Mem- Miyako-San, can you drop me off at Ebisu too?

Miyako glanced at her through the rearview mirror, raising an eyebrow.

Miyako- You too, Mem? Is something going on?

Mem looked out of the window.

Mem- Yeah, I remembered I have some quick work to do

She said as Miyako stopped the car. Before getting down, Mem looked at Aoi who looked at her. His eyes all-knowing as he nods a bit. Mem smiled and got off. Aoi let out a whisper.

Aoi- Kana...

Miyako pulled up near the bridge, where Aoi's house was just a short walk away. The engine of the car hummed quietly as she came to a stop. Aoi unbuckled his seatbelt and glanced at Ruby, who was knocked out on her seat now, and then Miyako, who smiled.
