Taylor was in the middle of a huge binge. It didn't happen that often, but when she did – she was totally out of control. She was like a feral animal – seeking out it's next prey.
She scoured the kitchen – shoving anything she could find into her mouth. She wasn't even chewing – not really. There was a deep hole inside her – a hunger that she couldn't fulfil. She put it in, crushed it up and swallowed it quickly – in desperation to try and fill the void that seemed to be increasing at a rapid rate.
She didn't notice how full she was – didn't notice how her stomach was so full her skin was tight, didn't notice that she was crying as she was shoving the food in. She was totally detached – totally unaware of everything.
She was also unaware of the redhead who let herself into the house – who was making her way towards the kitchen. Taylor didn't notice – didn't hear Tree calling out her name. She was completely oblivious until Tree walked in, a smile on her face which dropped immediately as she took in the scene in front of her.
As she finally heard Tree gasp, Taylor's head shot up – her eyes went wide. For a split second she froze – her mouth was still half full with food, her hand was raised – ready to take another bite. As the reality set in, she dropped her arm down – placing the half eating muffin on the side. She swallowed thickly – willing the food to go down. Suddenly she realised how full up she was – how this final bite of food was sitting in her throat – on top of the mountain of food she had already forced down. She cleared her throat slightly – trying to make sure she didn't gag. After a few seconds, she looked up – barely meeting Tree's eyes "It's not what it looks like..."
Tree's face softened, tears welling in her eyes "Tay..."
Taylor sighed "OK – it is what it looks like but it doesn't happen a lot. This isn't – this isn't a thing. OK?"
Tree spoke up, her voice shaking "how often is not a lot?"
Taylor looked down, twisting her fingers anxiously "I haven't done it for weeks..."
Tree nodded, heading over and grabbing a glass of cold water for the blonde. Taylor took it gratefully, swallowing a small sip.
Tree rubbed the younger girl's arms gently "I know you're thinking about purging right now"
Taylor shifted from one foot to the other, she gave a small nod. Tree kept her voice slow and calm "You know I can't let you do that, right?"
Taylor's eyes widened slightly. Her gaze darted to the door then back to the redhead in front of her "Tree, I cannot keep this in my body!"
Tree looked at her, trying to keep her calm "you can't purge."
Taylor's expression became more frantic, she reached out – holding Tree's hands, trying to force the redhead into giving in "I'm not doing it all the time – it's a one off!"
Tree smiled sympathetically at her "it doesn't matter. It's bad for your throat, your teeth, your mental health in general..."
Taylor let go of her, clutching her stomach tightly "it hurts"
Tree nodded, trying to keep her calm "I bet it does. Let's get you some peppermint tea –"
Taylor held her hand up though "I can't tree – I cant fit anything else in, not even a sip"
Tree shrugged "it will help with the bloating"
Taylor shook her head, tears welling up in her eyes "it's not bloat. It's fat. I am absorbing the calories as we speak..."
