I was in my room under the sheets of my bed.
It's been 2 days I haven't left my house or room at all.
I haven't touched food for the past 48 hours. Mom hasn't bothered checking on me. She traveled with her boyfriend Rick?, Nick?, I don't remember. Ever since she met him, she as care less and less about me. I don't really care, I don't need her as she doesn't need me. I studied so hard that I fainted on daily basis just to get a scholarship at the expensive and prestigious school I'm in. I work my butt off every day to get food on the table and pay rent in this shabby apartment. And I sacrificed all my freedom to save money for her and I . While she..all she does is eat, yaps rubbish to her responsible mom friends, and denys me even when I sacrificed everything for her. Now I'm having my first heartbreak and she's out there flying to God's know where.
When I think about my life I just wish I was never born here. Why did you leave dad everything would be better if you were here! I sobbed nonstop. Until I heard footsteps approach my room as I tried to calm down. Soon the door opened and I knew who came in as an expensive fruity perfume filled my room.
"Alright, alright enough with the depressing thoughts." Linda dragged the blanket off my body.
"Esh! You look like an ugly car raw you over!" She expressed.
"Thanks for the compliment " I sniffled.
"Seriously you look like a mess and you haven't been answering my calls even Jake was worried.
Scoffs
I gave a small smile. "I'm fine just family issues."
Lie
"Oh okay,then you go take a shower, I'll find you something to wear." She stood up.
I nodded before slowly leaving the bed. Due to my shaking feet , I also fell as Linda caught me.
"Are you okay?" Linda said worried. I nodded "yeah, just cold.
Lie
"Then go take a hot shower as I got find you something warm." I nodded before entering the bathroom.
Linda was right, I look like a mess.
I laughed dryly without humor
It's amazing what a one-sided heart break can do to you.
I washed my face and brushed my teeth before entering the shower.
When I was done I came and saw the neatly folded pair of clothes on my bed. I smiled before the pair of clothes on Jake bed came to my mind making me frown.
Why does this hurt so bad.
I changed to the outfit did my hair and very minimum makeup before looking at my reflection. I give a smile trying to cover the sadness in my eyes.
I went downstairs and was greeted with a lovely smell of wattles.
I went to the kitchen and saw Linda making breakfast.
She looks like a pro, she's so wife material. Man, Levi's lucky.
She turned around and saw me before smiling "it's almost done, take a seat." and turned back to the food.
I sat on the four cornered table waiting for her.
Okay today's a new day let's try to forget everything and have fun.
I breathed in as a plate of hot streamy wattles came to my front.
"Eat up, we have a lot to do today." She said as I digged into my food.
"Which is?" I asked before stuffing a bite of the delicious food.
"Hmmm!" I moaned in delight.
"We'll go to the mall, then cinema, a cute Cafè downtown to get some work done, an art gallery I was invited to and lastly a restaurant where we'll have dinner.
I nodded"sounds like a lot." "It is " she replied before eating.
We ate as well as catching up on all we missed in each other's lives except what happened the other night. At least not yet. After eating we cleaned our plates and went out to our first destination on the list.
