HARDEST THING TO DO

Classes have finally ended!...for the day😞.
It's not time for break yet.
I entered my dorm and changed to more comfortable clothes.
I took my phone, ear pod, journal, and a bag of chips.
I left the dorm and headed outside. Once I reached outside, I went to the hill a few miles away from the university.
I sat on the glass and leaned my back on the tree.
I looked at the scenery as well as mocking how little the students and teachers looked. Besides the university in front, if you turn to your left you'll see the beautiful scenery that was definitely worth the hike.
I brought out my ears pods and my journal to write how I  was feeling these past few days.
Me and Jake have been really getting along and I might kinda have a not so little crush on him. I know it's werid especially hearing that from me but but hear me out I mean he has changed from the the mean man whore jerk to a flirtly responsible reliable friend. A pair of Chanel boots caught my attention. I looked up to see Elena smiling well more like smirking. I looked at her uninterested and faced back to what I was doing.
"I wonder what your doing here?" She looked at me weirded out.
I ignored her.
I have my ear pods on she won't think I'm hearing her.
" You look really down, I wonder what bit your butt?" She spoke again.
Seriously what's with the dry jokes?
" Have you heard?" She asked smiling.
What's that rubbish now
"Me and Jake are back together?" She squeaked.
"What?" I took off my ears pods.
"Oh you didn't hear me, I said me and Jake are now dating."
"Impossible!"I stood up letting everything fall from my legs.
"Yeah we met near the bathroom and he confessed to me and we kissed well more like he kissed me and it was amazing." She said smiling.
"I..I don't believe you" I said feeling unsure.
She bought out her phone and tapped it a little before turning it to me. "Here" on her screen was a picture of Jake and Elena kissing.
My heart broke.
"That's.... that's not true, you're lying. YOU'RE LYING!"
"Oh it is. Huh I thought you knew since you are his friend." She said.
A friend, that's right, that was what I was always to him a female friend.
A memory of last night's discussion with William came to my view.

"You know Jake's playing with you right?" Williams spoke leaning on the wall with a whiskey in his hand.
"What?" I turned to him.
"He's not the changed person you think he is." He said before sipping on his drink.
"Yeah like you know him all your life?" I rolled my eyes.
"I know him enough to tell you he's not a good person." He stood straight.
I eyed him suspiciously.
" Jake's all about flirting with girls, making them feel loved then dumps them without caring." He said walking towards me.
He took a step forward as I took a step back. We were like that until he pulled my arm and brought me close to him. He looked at me in the eyes before slowly reaching my ear.
"Be careful " he whispered before leaving.

I looked at Elena who tilted her head with a smirk.
"You look bothered, I'll let you process all that...bye~" She left as I entered my pit of thoughts.
