Linda's POV

I woke up as the first thing I saw was my friend sleeping with her tear stained face.
My poor baby
She's been through a lot
I brushed some strands of hair away from her hair.
I really can't believe that Jake and Elena are dating. I knew he was mean sometimes but dating a person who hates your friend is pretty low.
I stood up and headed to the bathroom.
And I really had high hopes for him and Emily, I mean they were so cute together.
I took out the spare toothbrush and brushed my teeth looking at the mirror.

It's been like 10 minutes since Emily went to the bathroom.
I paused before shaking my head.
I'm just exaggerating, it's not been too long. I'm just saying that cuz my patience is not patiencing.
I waited a few more seconds before turning to the direction she followed.
Calm down Linda nothing's happening, geez when we're you so negative minded......ok at the count of 5 we'll go check her out.
1, this is silly

4, everything's fine.

I almost ran but after remember where I was, I turned it to a causal booshy catwalk. I headed to the bathroom but no one was there.
Oh my goodness
I looked in the toilet hoping she didn't fall inside. After a total search I went to her house praying she was there.
Once I reached there, I noticed the lights were on so my hope lifted a little. I opened the door and lock it back of course before heading upstairs.
The more I got closer, the more audible the sound of cries became.
I rushed to Emily and saw her in the middle of a semi-mess up room.
My heart tucked my chest.
Why is she crying? Did something happen in the bathroom?
I thought as I went with a hug from behind.
She mumbled something that I couldn't tell due to her sobs. But I kept reassuring telling her everything was
fine. Then she told me everything that happened to her from the ball to the dialogue they exchange that day.

I turned off the shower and stepped out of it to dress.
I feel like I'm so to blame because she showed me all signs but I chose to ignore it. She must have been hunting
and I wasn't there to comfort her.
I stepped out of the bathroom fully
dressed. I smiled looked at the little girl sleepily rubbing her eyes.
But that's gonna change.
I walked over to her bed.
"Good morning." I sat next to her.
"Good morning." She yawned.
"How was your night?" I asked hoping a
different answers.
She shrugged. "Not bad, I guess."
"Kay, you go freshen up and I'll go make breakfast." I stood up and looked at her. She nodded and went to the bathroom as I left the room and headed to the kitchen.
I opened the cabinet looking for what to cook. Luckily, I found some bread, tomatoes, lettuce, Mayo, ground beef and brought out 4 eggs.
We'll have sandwiches for brunch.
I  cracked the eggs, whipped them really good before pouring them into the pan. As they were frying, I cut the other condiments for the sandwich and placed on each other. When I egg was done I add them into all six sandwiches.
opened the fridge and got a carton of juice. I placed the dishes on the table and turned to Emily who just came down. "Good come have breakfast." We sat and ate our meals quietly. I mean not really, we did talk about random stuff but not as long as we used to.
I cleaned the dishes, did my hair and took my bag before applying some sunscreen and some lip balm and brushed my brows of course.
I came downstairs and walked towards the door. "Hey I'm heading out, want anything?" I said already at the door.
She stood her head. "Where are you going?" She asked.
"Just a little grocery shopping, nothing big." I said opening the door.
"Okay, bye." She waved at me.
"BYEEEE!" I yelled while leaving the house.
I entered my car and drove to my favorite place to buy groceries; square 1.
I brought out a cart and began exploring the world of edibles.
"I thought I saw that ketchup here, where did it go." I looked around the shelves.
I felt a presence behind me as the person's hand grabbed the ketchup I was looking for. I turned around and my heart flew out my chest.
"Levi!" I hugged him making him loose his balance a little but he quickly recovered.
He chuckled. "Looks like someone missed me." I looked up at him before nodding." Um mhmm a lot, when did you get back?"
"Last night." He smiled.
"You should be tired." I did a slight pout.
"I am but I had to see my little potato." He peck my lips.
*Clears throat*
I glare at Jake who at the side but originally came with levi but I chose to ignore him earlier.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" He took his hands in defense.
"You and I have to talk "

Emily's POV

"You're what?" I stared at my mom a bit of shock.
"I'm leaving." She placed new and oddly expensive skincare bag in the suitcase.
She's been enjoying money wait that's not important now.
"You can't be serious." I looked at her in disbelief.
"Don't you see packing my stuff? I'm moving out." She said getting annoyed.
"Why?"
"I've gotten bored of this old life" she looked around in disgust before continuing. "I mean I want to start a new life, be a hot babe and hot babes don't live in houses where it's wall cracks are as wide as the Mona Lisa." She zipped her suitcase.
"What about me!" I raised my voice unintentionally.
"Don't yell at me young lady and plus you'll be fine, don't you know girls your age literally live in mansions alone.
"Don't you know moms your age are respected people." I thought out loud which earned me cheek reddening slap.
"You good for nothing fool, listen." She pulled me by my hair.
"Aahh!!" I yelled in pain trying to remove her hands.
"You are not gonna be the reason I will lose I will lose all my chances of becoming a billionaire's wife." She spat on my face.
"So be a good niece and never call me, text or even see me you got that you bitch." She threw me on the ground making me to scrap my elbow.
With that she walked away, away from this house, away from my life. I should be feeling happy but not as much as the betrayal swallowed my feelings.
I coiled myself into a ball as I sobbed till I fell asleep.

I woke up to the intense ringing from my phone.
I closed my eyes choosing to ignore it but it came again almost if even more louder.
Irritated I pressed answer and brought it to my ear. "What?" I said rudely.
"Emily?" Linda said with a shaky voice.
"Linda?" I became calm and concerned.
"You need to come to the multi health hospital." She said maintaining that same tone as sounds of sirens came from the background.
"Why?" I dared to ask feeling nervous.
"Jake got in a car accident.

How did it happened to Jake?
Why did the mom moving all of sudden?
What is Emily gonna do?

Hey guys merry Christmas!!
I just wanted to check on you guys and give some context of somethings in the book.
So Linda and Jake are now 20 Elena is about to be 21 very soon( I think around chapter 27 is good) I will not mention it just know. While Emily is still 17 tho but will turn 18 around 37.
