Forgotten Love

Chapter 14

Ira POV
I'm walking to school with the girls and I sling my arm around Rachel. "Ya gotta admit, without having to fight distains we are all getting much more rest." Rachel rolls her eyes "Oh please Ira, distains weren't that exhausting. You're just-" She stops in her tracks in front of the school and her face turns pale, I turn to her in worry. "Rachel what's wrong, are you okay." She shakes her head "I...um...he's back." I turn to see what she's staring at and see Luca and his friends looking at her. I take her hand and squeeze it "Don't worry babe, he can't hurt you anymore." Mack snorts "Yeah Ira taught him a lesson last time."
Rachel relaxes and we all laugh at the memory.

Time skip

I'm walking towards Rachel's locker so we can go home, when someone slams me against the wall "Ya know, you have something in common with those two monsters who attacked us a few weeks ago." I try to teleport but I realize that since Luka has me by the neck I can't. He punches me in the stomach "Aah!" He sneers "You all have blue hair and bat wings behind your ears." He tried to punch me again but I stop his fist "Which to me, means you were all working together in some way." One of his friends punches me in the side
"AAAH!" "Using your evil powers to hurt people." He knees me in the stomach, and tears start to fall "Please s-stop." "Is that how you beat me up last time ya little prick, with your dark magic." His hand tightens around my throat and I start to choke "Well why don't you use it now ya wuss.""I'm....not....evil." I choke out. Luka grins "Well then I guess you can just choke to death here." He and his friends start to punch me again and again, on my face, my arms, and my stomach, until I have bruises everywhere and I start to bleed.

I need help

I say in my head, hopefully Regina or Rachel got the message.

Regina POV
I'm skipping down the hall when I see the others at Rachel's locker "Hey guys how's it goi-"

I need help

I hear in my head, My eyes go wide and Rachel looks at me. "You heard it too right?" I nod and the girls look at us weird. "What did you hear?" Mackenzie asks. "Ira needs help!" We sprint down the hall and I see it. Ira on the ground with bruises on his arms and face, and tears on his cheeks. A boy is standing over him, smiling with blood on his knuckles. He and his friends are punching a force field that Ira is struggling to hold up. The world goes red "GET YOUR FRIKIN HANDS OFF MY LITTLE BROTHER!" I shoot a ball of dark energy at them and they fall down. "Reg you can't use dark energy to fight them, that only makes them victims" Ira says weakly. Fine then, I pull out my spear of light and shoot them with it. Ira disables his force field and Mackenzie and Rachel help him get up. "Why didn't you transform." Mackenzie asks "I couldn't, Kane decided to stay home." Luka grins "Well Rachel now that you see what a wuss your boyfriend is, why not date a real man." As he was talking Luca stepped closer and closer to Rachel, pinning her against the locker. I see Ira scowl and twitch his hand. "Someone like me." Luka moves a strand of hair out of Rachel's face and Ira's hand twitches again. "See, your little boyfriend is just standing there doing nothing. He doesn't care if I do this to you, he doesn't care at all, he never has and he never will." Rachel gives Ira a pleading look as Luka moves closer to kiss her. I look at Ira wondering why he hasn't done anything when I see his eyes light up and turn red. I smile, let the fun begin.

Ira POV
The world goes red as he leans in towards Rachel. I put up a force field around her. "Get. Your hands. Off of her you piece of crap!" He sneers and his friend throws a punch at me, but I blast him and take a step toward Luka
"What are you gonna do pipsqueak?" He gets closer to my girlfriend and his head hits the force field with a loud bang. Rachel looks at me with surprised eyes and a small smile. I scowl and make a ball of energy. "I warned you last time to stay away from her!" Luka steps back with fear in his eyes, good. I punch him while the energy ball grows and I smile evilly "Ira!" I turn and see Rachel and Mack staring at me with fear, my eyes flicker back to yellow and the energy ball disappears. "It's ok." I say to them, slowly shifting closer "Don't be scared" I look at my sister, who still looks angry, I notice her eyes are red and touch her arm. "Reg, calm down. We can't hurt anybody." Her eyes slowly fade back to blue and she nods, turning to Luka, "If you ever go near any of these people ever again especially my little brother. I will find you and you won't get away so easily." I use my powers to heal my wounds and run up to Rachel
"Are you okay?" She nods, "I'm fine, are you?" I take down the force field and hug her tightly. "Don't worry about me, lets go." We teleport out of school.

Time skip to after everyone is home

I collapse on Rachel's bed while she starts to do homework. I used a good bit of my magic today, if I use anymore I might pass out like last time. "Ira are you alright?" I look over at Rachel, she's staring at me worried so I smile a bit "I told you, don't worry about me. I'm fine." She nods "Ok." I drift off to sleep while my powers recharge.

I wake up to see Rachel still at her desk. Her head is tilted down, her hands are on her eyes, and she's crying. I walk over and sit next to her, grabbing her hand. "What's wrong babe?" She sniffs, I stroke her hand with my thumb and wipe her tears "Nothings wrong, I'm fine." I roll my eyes at her lie when it dawns on me, "You didn't believe all that stuff that Luka said about me not caring. Did you?" More tears fall as she nods slowly "Aw babe." I pull her onto my lap and rest her head on my shoulder "It's just, he was right in front of me, blocking my escape, and you just stood there. It didn't look like you were doing anything to even try to help me." She cries into my shoulder and I hug her tighter "In that moment, I wanted to murder him. But I knew that if I did, things would get bad, for all of us."
I rest my head on hers "The point is, I care about you more than anything else; in both worlds." She smiles "I'm sorry I ever doubted you." I kiss her forehead "It's okay." We fall asleep like that. Her in my lap on the mini couch in her room. Knowing that for just a moment we can be at peace.
