Forgotten Love

Chapter 19

Ira POV

It's been 2 days and Rachel's still not responsive. Maya and I have not left her side once.Regina walks in holding two bags "Hey guys, I brought you some food from the Pig Tail." Maya smiles "Thanks Regina." She grabs one of the take out bags and starts gobbling down the food inside. Regina holds out the other bag "Ira you need to eat something." I shake my head, I can't eat until Rachel's better "Ira, if Kitty comes back to- to finish the job"

I flinch at her choice of words

"You need to have strength." I sigh "Ok your right." I grab the bag from her and start eating. A little bit later I'm holding Rachel's hand, praying that she'll get better when I hear a voice in my head,

Ira help me.

"Regina stop!!!" She turns to me,
"What?" I scowl "Why would you say something in my head, why would you give me that kind of hope?!" She raises her hands in innocence "Ira that wasn't me."

Then that means, I quickly turn to Rachel and put her hand back in mine "Rachel, are you there?" No response "Rachel please." Regina cautiously steps toward me, as if she thought I was going to break.

"Ira, what did you hear" I look at her "It sounded like she said, 'Ira help me'" She thinks for a second "Maybe she's trapped in her head." "What do you mean"

Ira if you can hear me, please help, Kitty's here she's trying to-

Rachel goes pale and blood starts to flow out of her arm "She killing her from the inside!" Nurses rush to patch up Rachel's arm and I turn to Regina "How do I help her"

"Well..."

"WHAT?"

"If you do this, you could die"

I roll my eyes "Me risking my life for Rachel isn't new, how do I save her?" Regina explains the steps and soon enough I'm in Rachel's head "AAHHHH"

I look to the side and see Rachel diving away from a beam of dark energy, she's transformed but it looks like she can't use her powers. She tries to run away but the beam follows her. She's not fast enough, I grab her and make a force field around the both of us.

Rachel looks up at me in disbelief "Ira!?" "IRA!?" Kitty yells. Rachel hugs me and I notice all her cuts and bruises "What are you doing here?" I smile at her "You called me so I came." The beam pushes at the force field and I grunt in surprise "Kitty's gotten a lot stronger since I last spared with her" Rachel shakes her head "That's not Kitty." I look at her in surprise "Then who is it?" I get my answer when a figure comes through the fog, controling the beam "I-Is that me?!"

It has red eyes and looks a lot like the old me. The mercinare version of me.

"Rachel, we're in your head can't you just think something up to help us!?" She scowls "How do you think that thing got there!" She gestures to the evil version of me

"We're in the darkest part of my mind Ira, anything I try to think up get twisted into something bad, even you."

I think of an idea, she's not gonna like this "Well who better to know how to defeat me than me?"

Her eyes widen in realization of what I'm about to do "You could die." I cup her cheek with my hand "Rachel, if I don't stop Kitty you will die" I step out of the force field, keeping it over her. She bangs on it "IRA!!" I start to walk away and she bangs on the force field again "IRA NO, DON'T DO THIS!" "I have to." "IRA PLEASE JUST LET ME HELP!"

I blast a beam of light energy at Dark Ira and he sends a beam of dark energy colliding into mine.
Kitty laughs "JUST GIVE UP IRA, IN THE DARKEST PART OF THE MIND EVIL ALWAYS WINS!" The dark beam advances and sweat starts to fall down my forehead "As long as I'm around, you will never get to her" Dark Ira smiles "Well then, lets make sure that you're not around for much longer." The dark beam pushes and is inches from my face when I hear a sound like crashing glass, Rachel's broken the force field.

"Ira I'm not some damsel in distress, I'm a glitter warrior!" Dark Ira turns around "GLITTER FORCE DIAMOND BLIZZARD!" The beam hits my evil counterpart "NO, NOOOOO!!!" I look at her "Thanks babe." She gives me a look that sends chills down my spine "Once we get out of here you and I are going to have a talk."

Kitty floats ahead of us as she has a tantrum
"NO NO NO, HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MINE!" I step forward and look at my former friend "Kitty I, I thought we were friends" "THATS THE PROBLEM!" She screeches,
I jump back. "WE SHOULD BE SO MUCH MORE THAN FRIENDS, YOU SHOULD BE WITH ME NOT HER" She casts an accusing look at Rachel. "I risked everything I have here when I decided to be friends with you! And now you betray my lo trust like this" She looks at me angrily "IF BETRAYAL IS THE ONLY WAY TO GET YOU TO LOVE ME THEN I'LL DO IT!"

She conjures a ball of dark energy and aims it at Rachel. I go to step in front of her- "Ira stop!" I freeze "You can't risk your life for me, not again; I won't let you."

Kitty laughs "Yeah Ira stay out of it." The energy ball grows bigger and rapidly starts to consume Kitty's hands "This fight is between me and RachAHHH" The dark energy is all the way up her arms and she seems to be in pain. She angrily tries to pull her arm out but all that does is make the orb bigger. My eyes widen as I realize what's happening. "Her hatred is absorbing her. The amount of hatred in her is gonna kill her!!"

She seems to realize it too because she looks at me pleadingly "IRA PLEASE HELP ME!" I look at her sadly "You brought this on yourself Kitty, there's nothing I can do." The orb grows bigger and bigger until all we can see is her face "I HATE YOU RACHEL!" The orb starts to grow faster "I HATE YOU MORE THAN ANYTHI-AHHHH" The orb almost doubles in size and Kitty disappears behind it. Once Kitty's been absorbed the dark energy disappears. "I can't believe it, she's gone." I might have been angry at her but I didn't want her to die. Rachel turns to me "Ira, are you ok?" I smile softly "yeah I'm fine, see you out there." I leave Rachel's head and see Regina standing over me.
