Chapter 23

Rachel POV

I. Can't. TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!

Ira has been checking my vitals and temperature every ten minutes!! He's acting like I'm made of glass, I understand that he's worried for me but enough is enough! I grab his wrist before he can put his hand on my forehead "Ira."

He frowns "What's wrong? Are you feeling sick?"

His face breaks into worry, I cup his cheek with my hand "Ira you need to stop worrying. I feel fine I promise."

He leans into my hand with a sigh "I'm sorry, I know I'm being a lot. But please try to understand, I almost lost my sister to that disease and because of it I did terrible things. If that were to happen to you then I wouldn't be able to bare it." He places his forehead on my shoulder and wraps his arms around me.

"Please...the week is almost over then I'll stop I promise." I nod as my head feels foggy, I stumble when he lets go "Rachel? Are you ok?"

I shake my head and lean on him "I...think, you were right...to worry."

I lose consciousness in his arms "Rachel!"

Ira POV

No no no! Not again "Rachel!" I hold her close and place a hand on ger forehead, burning hot.

The door flies open "Ira, what's wrong?!"

I look up to see my sisters looking at me with a worried face "I-It happened." Natalie's face pales and Regina looks at Rachel "Oh no..."

I lay her on the bed "Father!" Natalie says suddenly.

I look at her in shock "What?"

She looks at me "Ira don't you remember? Father used the crown of wisdom to save Marie Angelica. He knows how to stop this, we have to take her to Splendorious."

I nod and pick Rachel up "Let's go." We teleport to Splendorious and to father's house.

Natalie knocks on the door "Father?" The door opens and dad opens the door, he looks surprised to see us especially me.

"We need your help." I say calmly. He let's us in and I place Rachel on the couch while Regina and Natalie explain things. I look at my dad "Father please, we need your help. I can't loose her again." My voice breaks.

Father walks up and pulls me into a hug "I'm sorry." He says softly.

I hug him back "That's all I ever wanted."

He pulls away and looks at Rachel. "According to the crown of wisdom, the cure can only be found on Hellson." My eyes widen, Hellson is a terrible place of fire and marsh land, it's core is made of dark energy.

"What's on Hellson that I need to get?"

Dad continues "The sickness is caused by over exerting herself by using True Love's Power for the first time. It can only be countered by a little bit of darkness," he pulls out a book and flips to a page "There's a flower called the Hatis, it's petals are the cure."

I nod and stand up "I'll leave in the morning.

His eyes widen "No! You're not going anywhere young man!"

I narrow my eyes "What do you mean 'no'?"

Dad crosses his arms "It's too dangerous"

I clench my fists "My girlfriend is dying! I'll do whatever it takes to save her!" Regina puts a hand on my arm "You did the same for Marie didn't you?"

He looks down "No I did not. I sent a group of servant's and only Jonathan came back."

We all look at him in shock, "Come'on guys let's go."

I pick up Rachel and we go to Jonny's office. "Jonny!"

He looks up with wide eyes as he takes us in "Is she ok?" He takes Rachel and lays her on the couch.

"Sh-she passed out. I-I don't know what to do, J-Jonny what do I do?"

He looks at me gravely "You have to go to Hellson. Find the Hatis and bring it back here. You have about two weeks, I'll do all I can here."

I nod "We'll go with you."

I turn to my sisters "Thanks guys."

Jonny hands me three backpacks "Equipment." He explains.

I nod "Let's go tell the others."

We teleport to Maya's house, where all the girls are waiting "Where's Rachel?" Maya asks.

"Jonny has her. Regina, Natalie and I are going to Hellson to get the cure."

Mack's eyes widen "I'm coming with you."

I turn to her "Mack it's too dangerous."

She shakes her head "No way are you going without me."

"Mack..."

"I'm a warrior, I can fight"

"Mack."

"If you think I'm letting you go to the most dangerous planet in the universe then-"

I grab her shoulders "Mackenzie!"

She stops and I level my eyes with hers "No. I'm not letting you come with us. It's too dangerous and I refuse to lose another person I care about. You're job is to stay her with the others and protect our city, please don't argue with me on this."

She nods and I hug her tightly, burying my face in her shoulder "Just don't get hurt ok. I've lost people too."

I nod and walk back to my sisters "You ready?" They nod and we grab hands, I look at Mack one more time "We'll be back." She nods and we teleport away.

3rd person

As the siblings leave a pair of yellow eyes light up mischievously "Hellson eh? See you there Ira."

Soooo what did you think?? I know it took me awhile but I'm back and I've been brainstorming!!!! Chapter 24 shouldn't take as long but chapters might be made shorter for cliffhangers.
