Michelle could once again be found in Miguel's hospital room, this time lounging on the chair next to his bed and facing the door. It had been a while since they had heard the other speak as they were entranced by scrolling endlessly on their phones.

"Hey," A quiet voice came suddenly from the door. The twins snapped their heads in the direction of the voice only for Michelle's blood to boil instantly.

Sam.

"Hey," Miguel replied surprised.

Michelle looked between the two with a disgusted look on her face and decided to just leave as the pair clearly hadn't had the chance to speak yet.

As she stood up, Michelle made eye contact with Sam, the look of disgust never leaving her face as she exited the room. Though she made sure to bump her shoulder on the way out.

She made her way to the waiting room and took the same seat she used to sit at when Miguel was still in his coma. She had only managed to scroll through two TikTok videos when someone took the seat next to her.

Michelle looked up to see her favorite red-mohawked weirdo sitting next to her.

"What are you doing out here? Is Miguel okay?" Eli asked.

"He's fine. He just has...company," Michelle replied.

Eli nodded in response and silently pulled out his phone to start scrolling through it. Michelle's phone vibrated from her pocket so she reached back and grabbed it.

We're having a fundraiser for Miguel's surgery today at 12. You in?

Michelle thought for a second. She wondered what exactly 'we' meant but decided to ignore it. She would do anything to help her brother.

Shelly🐚

I'll be there. Just text me the info.

Michelle tapped Eli's arm lightly causing him to look up at her with an amused look on his face.

"Yes, Elle?"

"Could you pretty please maybe drop me off at my house?" Michelle asked with a pout.

Eli laughed and stood up from his seat. He reached into his pocket and grabbed his car keys.

"Of course I'll take you. I'm gonna go see Miguel. Just hold onto these so i don't forget you," he replied and tossed her the keys.

Michelle squinted her eyes and said, "Very funny."

Eli chuckled and walked in the direction of the Diaz boys room. Michelle shook her head in amusement and a few minutes later was walking to the car with Eli by her side.
