The night sky shimmered with countless stars, the moon casting a soft, ethereal glow over the quiet streets below. The city had begun to settle, with the hustle and bustle of the day giving way to a peaceful calm as people returned home after a long day's work.

A sleek black Mercedes glided to a stop in front of an immaculate high-rise building. The towering structure loomed above, its pristine exterior a testament to the wealth and power of those who resided within. The car door opened, and a man stepped out, his presence commanding attention. Dressed in a sharp black suit, his piercing grey eyes exuded a cold authority, one that immediately garnered respect from the guards stationed at the entrance. They greeted him with a deference that spoke volumes, acknowledging the influence he wielded.

Without a word, he strode toward the entrance, his demeanor indifferent yet imposing. The lobby was a reflection of understated luxury, but he paid no mind to its grandeur. His focus was singular as he made his way to a private elevator, one reserved solely for him. After typing in his security code, the elevator doors slid open with a soft chime. He didn't need to select a floor; the elevator was programmed to take him directly to the top-the pinnacle of the building where his penthouse awaited.

This was no ordinary building. Constructed by the prestigious Anderson company, it was a fortress of privacy and exclusivity. Only the elite, those with immense wealth and influence, could afford to live here. The building was designed to shield its residents from the prying eyes of the world, offering a sanctuary where they could live in peace, far removed from the chaos outside. It stood as a symbol of power, wealth, and the privilege that came with both.

As the elevator doors parted, he stepped into his penthouse, where the understated elegance of the space reflected his meticulous nature. The living room was bathed in soft light, the décor dominated by clean, neutral tones. A pristine white sofa set occupied the center, facing a balcony that offered a breathtaking view of the city skyline. To one side, a sleek mini bar gleamed, stocked with only the finest spirits. The room, though luxurious, was minimalist, devoid of unnecessary clutter or ostentation. Every piece of furniture, every artifact, had been carefully selected, reflecting the owner's preference for order and simplicity.

Sean strolled casually into his penthouse, his mind preoccupied with the events of the day. But as he stepped into the living room, his pace faltered, his eyes narrowing at the sight of a familiar figure lounging on his pristine white sofa. His jaw tightened, a wave of irritation washing over him. Ethan, his best friend, sat there, comfortably at ease, as if he owned the place.

Sean gritted his teeth, making a mental note to change the password to his penthouse. He hated the idea that Ethan could come and go as he pleased, especially without his permission. The intrusion was unwelcome, and Ethan's carefree wave only added to his annoyance.

"What are you doing here?" Sean's voice was clipped as he tossed his phone onto the coffee table and sank into the chair opposite Ethan. With a quick, irritated motion, he loosened his tie and unbuttoned the top two buttons of his shirt, trying to rid himself of the day's tension.

"Nothing much," Ethan replied with a playful grin, though his tone hinted at something more. "I just wanted to discuss something with you."

Sean arched an eyebrow, his patience thinning. "What?" he asked, his voice laced with impatience.
