PENELOPE

"Ma'am, shall we start?" the blonde girl's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I nodded, trying to push any trace of Sean from my mind.

"Please change into the bathrobe," she said with a soft smile. I quickly changed, slipping into the robe. For now, I had to focus on getting ready. Thoughts of Sean could wait.

They sat me in front of the mirror, the bright lights reflecting off my skin. "Your skin looks great, so we don't need much prep. We'll go straight to makeup," the other girl said. I nodded again, my mind elsewhere as they worked.

"Close your eyes, please." I obeyed, listening to the soft clink of brushes and the gentle hum of conversation between them. After what felt like a long half-hour, they finally allowed me to open my eyes.

When I looked at my reflection, I had to admit they had done a fantastic job. The makeup was simple, nude tones that suited the evening perfectly, and my hair was curled and tied loosely at the back with a delicate diamond clip. It wasn't overdone-it was just right.

They helped me into the gown, and as soon as I saw it in the light, I felt a soft gasp escape me. The stones shimmered like stars, catching the light and casting tiny reflections. The dress clung in all the right places and flowed gracefully, making me feel ethereal, almost like I had stepped out of a dream.

"Which one would you prefer?" the blonde girl asked, holding up two necklace sets. I studied them for a moment before choosing the simpler one, which allowed the dress to take the spotlight. They completed the look with a shimmering pair of heels, and finally, they handed me a golden clutch that sparkled in sync with the dress.

"Oh my God! You look incredible!" they said in unison, beaming at their work.

"All thanks to you both," I replied, offering them a smile. They giggled, clearly pleased.

"Well, it's time for us to go now. Enjoy your evening, ma'am!" they said, gathering their things.

"Thank you again," I said as I walked them to the door. Once they left, I gave myself one last glance in the mirror. I had to admit-I looked stunning. Taking a deep breath, I placed my phone and room key in the clutch and stepped out.

I found myself nervously standing outside Sean's room. I knocked twice, and within moments, the door swung open. He was already dressed in a beige three-piece suit that fit him perfectly. As I stepped inside, I noticed we were almost matching-his beige suit against my shimmering gown.
