Within the busy streets of Mustafu, sounds of footsteps can be barely heard as a figure can be seen running and jumping from rooftop to rooftop. The late afternoon sun reflected through their focused green eyes as they began to perform various flips and vaults over the rooftop equipment, with them ending with a roll.
Rolling to a superhero landing pose, they kept their head low as they began panting heavily. Sweat dripped down their freckled cheeks, a sign that they had been running, parkouring, and freerunning for quite a long time before coming to a halt.
This person is none other than Izuku Midoriya. His eyes lacked the usual excitement that he had a few months ago. Probably due to all the events that had occurred in his high school life.
Literally on the first day of class, he was made into public enemy number one after he revealed his conduit status and was almost expelled for going last in the Quirk Apprehension Test. During their first rescue training in USJ, they were attacked by villains and had almost died three times, one out of three was by the hands of a hero, someone who should be protecting them.
Then the Sports Festival happened, where his conduit status was revealed to the public all thanks to Present Mic's loud mouth. In the same event, his past was also revealed, leading to him fighting Katsuki Bakugou, his former childhood friend and bully, almost killing the other boy after he had insulted not only him but his mom, if it weren't for him redirecting the attack at the last second.
To summarize, it's been a shitty high school life. And this was just in his freshman year.
Sighing, Izuku stood up and walked towards the edge of the rooftop, where he sat down facing the direction where the sun is slowly setting. It has been two days since the Sports Festival and he still feels like shit. After seeing Katsuki getting escorted away in a police car, Izuku had been so conflicted for the two days.
He should be relieved that his main tormentor had been dealt with for all the wrong doings that he had done not only to Izuku, but to all the other kids that Bakugou had attacked and bullied in the past. He should have felt as if a heavy weight had been lifted off his shoulder.
But Izuku knew well that that wasn't the case.
Even with Katsuki being out of his life for real this time, Izuku couldn't help but feel guilty seeing Mitsuki Bakugou, Katsuki's mom in tears two days ago. He always viewed her as a woman with a strong will, maybe a bit stubborn at times, but she was very kind towards him. But to see her breaking down in tears just felt so wrong to look at.
It just broke his heart to see someone dear to him crying.
Masaru Bakugou, Katsuki's dad, was a different story entirely. The kind, shy man was nowhere to be seen and was replaced by a man filled with pent up rage and disappointment that Izuku never knew the man could show on his face. He may not have heard what the man said to Katsuki, but judging by how his former friend had reacted, the man must've said something that was enough to make Katsuki break down in tears.
Just remembering his Uncle Masaru's expression was baffling. It's almost like Izuku was seeing a completely different person two days ago.
His eyes looked down to his hands as he clenched his fists. And it was all my fault. He thought.
As soon as he finished that thought, his phone began vibrating. Fishing out his phone from his pant's pocket, he looked at the screen and widened his eyes at the Caller ID.
Pressing the answer button, he placed his phone over his ear. "Hello, Delsin? What's up?" he said in a confused tone. He wasn't really expecting any phone calls from anyone, so Delsin calling him must be something important.
