Amid the explosions, roaring flames, and panicked screams echoing through the streets of Hosu City, the sharp crash of metal against concrete rang out from a narrow alleyway. There stood the elusive Hero Killer, looming over Iida with his right foot pressed against the U.A. student's head as he drove his jagged blade down toward Iida's left shoulder blade.
There was also a noticeable bleeding coming from Iida's right bicep. He let out a cry of pain as the Hero Killer stared at him with no remorse whatsoever.
"You and your brother are both weak..." Stain said, gripping the hilt of his blade as he pushed it deeper. "It's because you're fakes."
Despite the immense pain he is under, Iida grit his teeth as he yelled. "SHUT UP, YOU SCUM!!" There were tears welling on the Engine wielder as he continued. "The lower half of his body is now paralyzed from the spinal injuries that you have caused!! It seems that he'll never be suited for heroics again!!"
"My brother... has saved so many people and inspired them!! He's a splendid hero!!" Stain stared at Iida as the boy continued. "He was my inspiration! HE WAS MY HERO!! FOR THAT I'LL KILL YOU!!!"
"First, save him." Stain said, cutting the boy off as he gestured towards the injured Native. Even with the darkness in the alleyway, Iida could see how concerningly paler the man is becoming in the passing minute. "Before acting selfishly and recklessly, go and save others. Powers such as your own are not to be used for revenge."
Stain slowly raised his blade, causing a jolt of pain from Iida. "Becoming seized by hatred for the foe before you, merely to satisfy your own selfish desires. That is nowhere near from the title of 'hero.'" he said as he removed the bloodstained blade out of the boy's shoulder. "That is why..."
The man smirked. "...you will die here." With that the man licked the blood on the blade.
As soon as he did that, Iida could feel his body stiffen. My body...won't move..!? He thought, panic slowly creeping in as he tried and failed to move his limbs.
"Goodbye. You're an offering to a more just world." the villain said as he raised his blade, to finish off the hero student.
"Shut up...SHUT UP!!!" Iida said through gritted teeth, his mind remembering his brother's words.
"Wow, if you look up to me, Tenya, then I just might be an amazing hero after all!"
Tensei's laugh. Tensei's smile. Tensei's legacy...all gone to smoke after Stain brutally injured him, forcing him to an early retirement. Tenya cannot accept that.
"No matter what you say," he said, tears streaming down his face. "YOU'RE JUST A CRIMINAL WHO HURT MY BROTHER!!!"
Stain was about to finish him off, he caught a glimpse of movement from the corner of his eye. Before he could react, he was met with a lightning enhanced fist that sent him crashing a few feet away from Iida.
Tenya could only watch in shock as his eyes widened at the newcomer. "Y-you..."
Shaking his head to focus himself, Stain looked up to the culprit of the stinging on his cheek. He looked at them with a glare which quickly shifted to recognition as a smirk crept up his lips.
"Well, well, well..." The Hero Killer said, slowly rising up to his feet. His voice causes shivers to flow through Iida's spine.
"If it isn't UA's infamous conduit."

EARLIER
Blitzing through the rooftops, Izuku watched the chaos unfolding from below the streets. He jumped from rooftop to rooftop, occasionally glancing to the alleyways in search of the Hero Killer as explosions rang through the distance.
