Chapter 27. Chaos Unfolds!

"I knew it... We're just too different." One Tomura Shigaraki said, standing atop of a water tank, as the sun sets in the background. He looked down the bustling streets of Hosu and crossed his arms. "Deep down, he still pisses me off."

He then turned to Kurogiri. "Kurogiri, bring out the Nomu. He won't get away stabbing me like that." he said as Kurogi stayed silent, slowly opening a portal. "If he wants to go on a rampage, we'll let him. The question is, which of us can cause more destruction? Let's see."

The portal materialized as three Nomu walked through the purple mist, growling and groaning. Shigaraki stood there, eyes filled with disdain and malice.

"Just watch as I crush your pride and dignity, Stain!" he said as a laugh escaped his mouth.

HOSU CITY

The orange hue of the afternoon sky reflected on the armored suit that Tenya Iida is wearing as he walked side by side with Manual, his current mentee in his Hero Internship. The two are currently patrolling the city to lookout for some villain activity, again.

"Today it's even more patrolling!" Manual said enthusiastically. The man stopped on his tracks and looked over at his intern with an apologetic look. "Sorry I couldn't switch things up for something better!"

"No..." Tenya said as he turned towards the pro hero. "It's actually better this way."

The man looked at him for a few seconds before talking. "Uhh... It's awkward to ask this, but..." the man took a deep breath and looked back at him. "You're chasing after the Hero Killer, aren't you?"

Iida's eyes widened from under his helmet. How did he know? He thought. "That's..." he tried thinking of an excuse to dodge the question when Manual continued, cutting him off.

"I couldn't think of any other reason why'd you come to my office. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm very happy that you came!! It's just..." the man's expression turned serious. "You should stop acting out of personal grudge."

"Us heroes don't have the authority to mete out punishment, or the jurisdiction to make arrests." the man continued and failed to see Iida lower his gaze. "Since the advances in the regulation of quirk has permitted their use, heroism mustn't become mere vigilantism. If by any chance you do take that occasion, then that would be a crime itself." Manual said, taking a few breaths.

That's the moment he noticed Tenya looking down. Almost immediately, Manual's expression changed from serious to shy. "Ah! But—ah, no, sorry. I'm not saying the Hero Killer is not guilty or something! And you're pretty straight-laced, too! Your eyes are so, like, relentlessly glaring. I got anxious."

"I appreciate the warning." Tenya said, earning a nod from the man, who began walking, rambling apologies and telling random things about the patrol.

I appreciate the warning. He repeated in his mind. However... he clenched his fist as the image of his injured brother laying on the hospital beds with multiple apparatus entered his mind. The boiling anger and vengeance he tried to suppress slowly begins to resurface. However...what am I to do with these emotions!? He whispered as his fist began shaking, his eyes glaring from underneath his helmet.

The muffled hum of the outside world as Izuku sat silently next to Edgeshot, who earlier was relaying information to the group, now quietly read a hero magazine. Their group are currently in a bullet train headed towards Hosu City. Well most of them, as Endeavor and Shoko are already in Hosu, as Endeavor was ordered by the commission to head to Hosu City earlier to "hunt" down the Hero Killer.
