As Abhay sat beside Ruhaan, he couldn't help but feel like he was living in a dream. Everything he had ever wished for, everything he had ever craved, was finally within his grasp. Omkara's acceptance, Ruhaan's affection, it all felt too good to be true. He was afraid that if he opened his eyes, everything would vanish into thin air, leaving him with nothing but the bitter taste of disappointment. But for now, he was content to bask in the warmth of Ruhaan's presence. He gazed lovingly at Ruhaan's face, taking in the cute pout and the frown that seemed to deepen as he looked at Abhay. It was evening time, and Ruhaan had finally been discharged from the hospital after three long days. And in those three days, Ruhaan had refused to let Abhay out of his sight, clinging to him like a koala bear.
As Abhay looked at Ruhaan, he felt a tug on his shoulder. "Kya hua aise kyun dekh rhe ho?" he asked, his voice filled with amusement. Ruhaan's pout deepened, and he looked up at Abhay with big, round eyes. "Kidhar khoye hue ho.. jbse bula rha hu aapko?" he asked in a gigglish voice.
Abhay sighed, feeling his heart melt at Ruhaan's antics. He was being too clingy, but Abhay was loving every minute of it. "Kahi nahi...kuch chaiye?" he asked, trying to sound stern but failing miserably.
Ruhaan thought for a moment before responding. "Neeche jaana hai...bed per baithe baithe bore ho gya hu subah se," he complained, his voice filled with a petulant tone. Abhay sighed, feeling a pang of worry. Ruhaan was still weak, and he shouldn't be exerting himself.
"But you are still weak...you should..." Abhay began, but Ruhaan cut him off.
"Haan pta hai...per ab nhi na thodi der ke liye neeche chalte hai na... it's dinner time... bhai aur bigb bhi aate honge hospital se...pls," Ruhaan pleaded, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
Abhay couldn't resist Ruhaan's plea, and he nodded, helping Ruhaan to his feet. "Aree mein theek hu bhaiya," Ruhaan protested, but he quickly zipped it as soon as he saw Abhay's look.
Abhay gently brought Ruhaan downstairs, making sure he didn't exert himself too much.....being carefull with every step....This was what he had always wanted - to be with Ruhaan, to take care of him, to love him. And now, it seemed like that dream was finally within his grasp...
Surbhi, who was busy in the kitchen, saw both of them coming towards the dining area and rushed towards Ruhaan.. concern etched on her face. "Tu neeche kyun aa gya? Kuch chahiye tha toh mujhe bula leta...Abhay aap kyun..." she asked, her voice laced with worry.
Ruhaan, looked at his bhabhi and offered a weak smile. "I'm fine bhabhi...I wanted to spend some time with everyone...isiliye neeche aaya...aur pak chuka hu ek jagah per baithe baithe...aap toh na gussa kro aise..." He looked up at Surbhi with pleading eyes, hoping she wouldn't scold him.
Surbhi's expression softened, but her concern remained. "Gussa nhi kr rhi baacha...you are still weak...aise exhaust nhi Krna hai tujhe...on this condition only...you are discharged..." She reminded him of the doctor's strict instructions, her voice firm but gentle.
Ruhaan nodded, his eyes sparkling in acknowledgement. "Ya ya I know...but trust me I'm feeling much much much better now...rehne do na thodhi der..." He looked up at Surbhi, his face set in a determined expression.
Surbhi hesitated, still unsure if she should let Ruhaan stay downstairs. She glanced at Abhay, who nodded reassuringly. She knew that Abhay cared deeply for Ruhaan, and he would never do anything to compromise his health. With a gentle smile, Surbhi obliged, allowing Ruhaan to stay downstairs for a little while longer. As Surbhi watched Ruhaan settle into his seat, a sense of relief washed over her, but it was tinged with the memory of that fateful day when she had found Ruhaan unconscious, bathed in his own pool of blood. The image was still seared into her mind, refusing to be erased. Ruhaan, sensing her gaze, looked up at her and gently took her hand, his eyes filled with a deep affection.
