Nearly a week had passed since the twins were born, and sleep was officially a thing of the past. When one twin wasn't crying, the other one was. If by chance, both twins were sleeping, one of the older children required attention. And although the house was full of people willing to help out, Harry and Ginny found themselves in over their heads. Harry wasn't sure how Molly had managed seven children. She really was a saint.

Despite the fact that they were so young, Lottie and AJ already had completely different personalities. AJ was quiet for the most part, unless he needed something. Lottie, on the other hand, was sure to let you know when she was displeased. Tonks had already nicknamed her 'Little Miss Fussypants,' and the nickname had stuck.

But the twins really were a blessing, and the somber mood in the house had soon disappeared. It was hard to be upset when you were looking into the innocent blue eyes of the newest baby Potters.

Lottie and AJ were already quite spoiled. It was rare that they were seen outside of the arms of someone in the house. If Harry and Ginny weren't holding them, someone else was. The only person who didn't pay them much attention was Sirius, and it made sense why. He was still grieving the loss of his own child. Still, Harry sometimes found his godfather watching them from a distance, a faraway look in his eyes.

Then, early one morning, Harry made his way downstairs with Lottie, who had been screaming her head off for quite some time now. Seeing that Ginny was beyond exhausted, and not wanting Lottie to wake AJ, Harry decided to take her out of the room. He made his way into the living room, surprised to see that his godfather was already there. He looked up when he saw Harry enter the room.

"Couldn't sleep?" He asked.

Harry shook his head. "I hope her screaming didn't wake you."

Sirius just smiled. "To be honest, I've been up all night. Her screaming had nothing to do with it."

Harry was just beginning to wonder if he should take Lottie into another room when Sirius stood up and held out his arms. "Let me try." He said.

Harry hesitated for a moment, not because he didn't trust Sirius, but because he wasn't sure he had heard him correctly. "Are you sure?" He asked over his daughter's cries.

Sirius nodded so Harry gently placed Lottie into his arms. He watched as his godfather walked around the room, gently bouncing her in his arms until her cries quieted down and she eventually fell asleep. "This used to work with you, when you were a baby." Sirius said as he continued to walk around the room. When he was sure that Lottie was deep in slumber, he walked over to the couch and sat down. He then motioned for Harry to do the same.

Harry took a seat on his godfather's right, and for a while, the two sat in silence. Harry watched as Sirius gently stroked Lottie's cheek, and when he looked up, there were unshed tears in his eyes.

"You were right about Corinne." Sirius admitted. "You were right about her this entire time, and I acted like an ass. I'm sorry."

Harry had waited months to hear those words, but now that he was finally hearing them, he wished more than anything that he had been the one that was wrong. "I didn't want to be right." Harry sighed. "I wish I wasn't."

Sirius nodded in silent understanding, his eyes wandering back down to Lottie, who was snoring softly. "We were going to name the baby after my brother." He said softly. "If it was a boy, that is. But if it was a girl, I wanted to name her Elaina, which means light. I figured with all the darkness in the world..." he trailed off, unable to finish his sentence.

"You know, I never knew I wanted a family of my own," Sirius said. "Not until I was so close to having one."

"You still have a family, Sirius." Harry said firmly. "Everyone in this house is your family." Harry knew it wasn't the same, but it seemed like the right thing to say.
