*PRESENT*

"So can you tell me what happened?" Josh asks.

My eyelids feel heavy. I just woke up and I feel like death. My body is aching and my leg hurts more then ever.

"I'm sorry Josh, but I can't," Nick says. I can tell he's not sorry.

"Is it really that bad?" I mumble.

"Jen!" Josh gasps and is at my bed side in seconds.

I laugh and smile at him.

"I'll give you two a few minutes then I'll come back in and talk to you." Nick says as he steps out of the room.

As soon as the door closes, Josh starts with the questions. "How are you feeling?"

"Like death."

Josh laughs and intertwines our fingers.

I shiver despite the fact that it is 90 degrees out.

Josh smiles and uses his other hand to rub my leg. "Where does it hurt the most."

"My upper thigh," I say with a little laugh.

Josh smirks and moves his up to my thigh. Sometimes his finger would graze the hem of my underwear. Every time that happens, I smile and move my hips. This would cause his whole hand to land on my vagina.

The third time this happens, he doesn't move his hand away. Instead, it slips under my underwear.

There's a knock at the door and Josh pulls his hand away immediately.

Both of our faces are best red when Nick walks in.

"Josh, I'm sorry, but I'm gonna have to ask you to leave," Nick says, not a hint of sympathy in his voice.

"Ummm..."

"Why can't he stay in here?" I ask abruptly, cutting Josh off.

"Because its hospital port all that all patients get test results back in a room alone," Nick says annoyingly.

Josh sighs and looks me in the eyes. He kisses my cheek and then stands and leaves.

When Josh is out of sight I speak, "Did you see that?"

"What? The kiss in the cheek?"

I shake my head.

"Oh...you mean Josh hand up your vagina... Yeah I saw that," Nick says with a laugh.

I don't need to look in a mirror to tell that my face is beat red.

"Don't worry, Jen. It's not like I haven't seen it before."

That hurt. More then my leg does. And my leg hurts A LOT!

"What's that supposed to mean?" I ask defensively.

"Never mind that." Nick pulls his chair to my bed, fiddles around with some papers, clears his throat, then begins speaking. "Your probably wondering what happened."

I nod as I sit up and turn to face him.

"The test failed."

"Clearly."

"Do you know why it failed?"

"Because I'm allergic to the IV..." I guess.

"That's what we thought at first..." Nick says.

At first? "So that's not the reason?" I ask hopefully.

"Your not...But your baby is."

"M-my b-baby?" I stutter in awe.

"Yes, Jen. Your baby." Nick says with a small smile.

"No wonder you made Josh leave the room." I say wittily.
