*PAST*

"Josh, it's your turn!"

Josh reaches out and takes a hold of the bottle. He spins it and it lands on Abby. Abby looks absolutely giddy. I don't know if it's because she's drunk or because she likes Josh, but wait her way, I'm not happy. I have no good reason to mad over this. I mean, Josh and I aren't even dating. Well, we could be, but I have to choose. Take Nick back or give Josh, one of my best friends, a chance. That's part of the reason I chose to sit out of this game and refused to consume any alcohol. I don't want to end up in that room with Josh for seven minutes, regardless of either of us have any alcohol.

The others talk with Josh and Abby are in the room. This is so you can try and drown out the noise... Sadly, we could still hear there moans... And they occurred every other minute.

"Must be doin' her hard," Andrew slurs in my ear.

I sink further into the couch, not wanting to think about Josh "doin'" another girl, and nod.

Andrew laughs then says, "If you were playing, it could've been you he was doin'. Then you wouldn't be out here sulking."

I glare at him but he just smile, takes another swig from his flask, and walks over to talk with the rest of our friends.

I hate to admit it, but it's true. Part of me wishes that it was I who was laying under Josh right now. Then the other half is grateful that it's not my moans and shouts of pain that our friends can hear.

Seven minutes later, A exhilarated looking Josh walks out of the room alongside a irritable looking Abby.

"Who wants to spin it next?" Andrew shots and they all form a circle around the bottle again.

"I'll spin it," Ryan says. He reaches his hand out and spins the bottle. There a series of gasps and a few claps. I turn, curious, and see that the top of the bottle is pointing at me.

"You have to go Jen," Noah sings.

"I'm not playing, so I don't have to go," I deadpan.

"Yes you do," Abby pushes.

"Just come on," Ryan says as he reaches out his hand.

I look up into his face, trying to figure out what's going on inside his head. I wish I could read minds.

Ryan sighs and leans down towards my ear, "I just wanna talk. We're not gonna do anything." He stands up tall again and extends his hand once more. This time, I take it and follow him to the room. As we pass by Josh, he gives me a dirty look. I just turn and kiss Ryan's cheek. The noise of a glass bottle hitting the floor fills the room.

Ryan sits the door and immediately starts talking, "I did that on purpose, Jen. I need to talk to you. Well, it's not so much of a need. It's more like a want. Anyways, they need to think we're having sex so occasionally moan and I'll shake the headboard to make it sound like we're actually doing it... Understood?"

I nod and sit on the bed.

"Moan now..."

I do. The noise the comes out of my mouth sounds weird. I've never really moaned on command before.

Ryan laughs and shakes the headboards. "Okay," he says once he's finished. "Something's been bothering you lately."

"What makes you say that?" It slips out of my mouth and I have no time to stop it. Now there is no chance of even trying to hide it.

"Jen..."

"Ryan..."

"You can trust me, you know..."

"I know I just..."

"You just what?"

Silence.

"Jen? Shit! Moan quickly!"

I do. "I don't know how to put it into words."

BANG! BANG! "Just try."

I sigh and look away. How can I put this into words?

A few minutes pass. The only noise is the occasional moan and BANG! Of the headboards.

"Think, Jen."

"I have to choose!" I blurt out. Once I start, I find it much easier to finish,"Nick wants me to take him back and Josh asked me out. I don't know who to choose because I still have feelings for Nick but I think I also have feelings for Josh!"

Ryan sighs.

"What?" I ask defensively.

"I had a feeling it was about this..."

I sigh. "Isn't that what it's always about?" I mumble.

Ryan laughs and I moan in response.

BANG! BANG!

"How do I choose?" I know I sound like a little girl when I ask. Tbh, I feel like a little girl to, asking her parents for dating tips.

Ryan smiles and puts his arm around me. "Have you kissed both of them?"

I nod.

"Did you feel anything when you kissed them?"

I moan. "Yes." BANG! BANG! "When I kissed Nick. The first time we dated, I felt this wave of affection. The second time, I still felt it but it didn't come as frequently. When I kiss Josh, I get this stirring in my chest and butterflies in my stomach. Every time. There's never a time when we kiss, even if it was an accident, I still get that feeling; like I just want more."

Ryan smiles and tightens his grip on me. Moan. BANG! BANG!

"Listen, I'm not going to tell you who to choose... But I am going to tell five words. They may sound corny, but I hope they will help."

I look up into his eyes... Waiting.

There a knock on the door telling us our times up.

"Grand finale," Ryan whispers.

I let out a series of gasps and moans and a shout here and there. The whole time, Ryan is shaking the bed and pounding the headboard against the wall.

A minute passes, ok that minutes (which we were supposed to be getting dressed in) Ryan wrinkles the sheets and I make the mattresses look a-screw.

Another knock tells us it's time to spin the bottle again.

We walk, hand in hand, back out to the carpet. Josh stares me down the whole time. He's aggravated. The moans and bangs must have been pretty convincing. I sit on the couch and before Ryan lets go of my hand, he leans in and whispers five words, "Heartbreak Heard Around The World."
