*PRESENT*

Five minutes later, Nick walks back in. But he's not alone. "This is Doctor Suvil." Nick says walking up to my bed. "He's the x-ray specialist."

Doctor Suvil has short, blonde, curly hair. He's taller than Nick and skinnier than him to. He looks cute. "So I guess that means I'm getting a x-ray?" I deadpan.

"Looks like we got ourselves a fighter!" Doctor Suvil laughs then walks over to my bed. Him and Nick stand side by side. The look at my leg for a while and talk in hushed voices. Nick pushes down on my leg, again. I scream out in pain, again. Nick and Doctor Suvil talk some more then Nick turns to me and asks, "Do you think you can walk?"

"I don't know," I say shrugging my shoulders. "But I guess we'll find out!" I sit up and then slowly begin to stand. As soon as I apply pressure to my leg, a searing pain causes my leg to go numb and I crumble to the floor. Nick and Doctor Suvil are instantly at my side, helping me into a wheel chair. "I guess I can't." I joke. They both laugh and wheel me out of the room and down many hallways. We finally come to a stop at these huge heavy metal doors. I'm already scare as it is, and these huge doors blocking out way to the room that I supposedly have to go in, aren't helping. I try not to let my nervousness show but Nick knows me to well. He walks in doubt of me and corpuscles down so we are the same height.

"You'll be okay JEN," he begins. "It's not going to hurt at all I promise." He puts his hand on my thigh before he says the last sentence. "I would never hurt you."

But you did Nick. I think to my self. You hurt me terribly. You might not think you did but believe me. I was broken when you left. A kind of broken that I thought no one could ever fix. And I hate to admit it but I think this hurts less than that did. But I don't say that. I just nod my head and put my hand on top of his.

He gives me a reassuring smile and then stands and pushes the heavy doors open.

The room is small. Which makes no sense. All there is is an x-Ray machine and a door probably where they keep medicine and tools to fix the machine.

"Nick help me lift her," Doctor Suvil says.

They both walk in front of me and count to three. They lift me up and lay me on the machine.

"I should have told you," Nick begins. "She's not heavy at all."

They both laugh then turn serious again.

"Alright JEN. Your just going to go through the machine three times and then we will take you back to your room while we wait for the results."

I nod.

My parents walk back into the room followed by Nick and Doctor Suvil. My parents sit on the sofa again and Nick and Doctor Suvil stand by my bed. I turn my head to look at Nick. He's pale and he's biting his lip. It's not good news. Suddenly I'm worried.

"We got the results back," Doctor Suvil begins. "Unfortunately they came back negative."

My parents gasp. I just sigh. Of course they were negative nothing in my life is ever positive. Nicks expression remains the same.

My parents are unable to speak so I ask the questions. "What does that mean?"

Doctor Suvil looks over at Nick. Nick nods and sighs. Doctor Suvil nods his head sternly and then leaves the room. Nick walks over to my bed and looks me in the eye. His face is still pale. "It means that you have cancer in your leg, Jen."
