Amelia had never been so excited after a seven hour bus ride, but she was currently buzzing with the amount of energy she had. It was like she was seeing the world for the first time. The bright lights. The sounds of the bustling city. The rats scampering around her feet. The vague smell of stale urine. It was her dream! She couldn't believe she was finally here! It had taken everything in her not to grab Max's hand and immediately start exploring, but alas, they needed to go do pyramid. When Amelia realised this, she deflated slightly, until Max reminded her that the city wouldn't disappear.
Entering the room for pyramid was strange, especially because the studio they were standing in was much different from the one in Pittsburgh. It was much smaller, with no windows and just a glass wall that separated the dancers from the moms. The studio just didn't feel quite right to anyone. There was just something off about it.
|| I mean, I wouldn't be surprised that when we leave Abby tells us that an unsolved murder took place there! That place gives me chills! || - Ashley Hosbach
As Abby rolled into the room, all the quiet chatter ceased and everyone looked to the older woman who was wearing a magnificent poker face. Abby continued to wheel in until she reached the center of the room, just left of the pyramid, paused then began to clap wildly and cheer. The room could breathe again as they all joined in, glad that they could at least start New York normally.
"Welcome to New York, ladies and gents!" Everyone grinned proudly, feeling like Abby was talking directly to them, "The City That Never Sleeps! The City Of Dreams! And you all made it here, congratulations!" Abby had never looked so proud, but the smile quickly ran away from her face, "But, will you be able to survive here? Over the next four weeks I'm putting each and every one of you dancers to the test! I want to see who actually belongs here," She looked down the line giving each dancer a brief moment of eye contact, "And who doesn't," Abby smiled manically, concerning some of the mothers.
|| Have I just signed my kids life away? Because I don't remember agreeing to that! || - Sandy Hatchet
|| New York is a big deal for dancers! Broadway employs so many dancers each year, so it's very important that these kids make a good first impression! || - Abby Lee Miller
|| Last weekend was kind of crazy! I'm hoping we can just have a normal pyramid, is that too much to ask for? || || With these moms? Yes! || - Amelia Hatchet and Max Fevoro
Abby's hand reached towards the pyramid, but she stopped herself and put on a steely glare, "Before we start with pyramid, I have to ask," Abby turned to face Stacey, "Do you want to be here?" Stacey's eyes widened, not expecting that question, "Because at the competition last week, it did not seem like it!" Sandy stifled a giggle at the look of shock and horror on Stacey's face, she only wish she had brought her camera so she could take a photo.
Stacey straightened her posture and cleared her throat, "Abby, you know that Lilli and I want to be here, I just won't let Lilli be made a mockery of! Those solo scores were a joke! And you know it!" The Ketchman woman was evidently still fuming about the solos, and clearly Lilli had been privy to this information as she buried her burning face in her hands, shaking her head vehemently. Lilli had to listen to her mother go on and on about the competition since they left. She couldn't remember the last conversation she had with her mother that didn't have something to do with the competition.
|| Stacey needs to get over herself! Everyone has to lose, there's only one winner and last week it was Gia! || - Joanne Paolantonio
|| I cannot believe that Stacey is still so angry about the competition! She cannot handle losing at all! || || Does she know that she's not the one who competed? She's acting like she's the one who lost! || - Tricia and Brady Farrar
