2 years ago if you'd told y/n she'd be graduating with a pro ball player as a boyfriend and that pro ball player was heeseung she'd probably laugh dead in your face . Even now that it's her reality she still finds it crazy especially headlines about him that mention her "Star basketball player and team captain lee heeseung and his earthy emo psychologist girlfriend" (they literally don't actually say that she's just dramatic) .

Her heart was beating quickly as she stood waiting for her name to be called she didn't understand why though because it's not like she hasn't been all over tv and news papers and digital articles like you name it she's there . Maybe it was just the fact that she's graduating .. maybe that's where the anxiety is coming from .
Heeseung graduated a year before y/n as her major required 5 years instead of 4 , he was in the crowd with all of their mutual friends and his family as well as hers . She didn't know that though , she just thought her family would be there as heeseung told her he "had a thing" today .
"Deep breaths in ..." she closed her eyes "and out ..." All the noise was gone now . "Y/n l/n" her name was called and immediately the noise was back , but not inside her head . She walked out across the stage hearing cheers of her name from all around her before it got a bit silent then all she heard was "YEAH BABY! GUYS THATS MY FUTURE WIFE" she looked over to see heeseung standing with a huge bouquet of flowers in his hands accompanied by everyone she cared for , of course everyone was laughing at his outburst but for her immediately the tears started .

"Congratulations pretty girl" heeseung sang as he stood with open arms for her to run into . She cried into his shirt before pinching him "you said you couldn't make it today" she pouted , her eyes red and cheeks stained with tears . "I wouldn't have missed it for the world baby" he said wiping her tears with his thumbs before kissing her deeply .
A fake cough was heard from beside them and they pulled away seeing both of their parents waiting for their turn to acknowledge her . "i wanna take pictures with my daughter boy" y/ns dad laughed and heeseung pulled you closer to him . "Fine but let me get one more kiss" his lips found themselves attached to yours once again . "god i won't ever get used to how good your lips feel" heeseung spoke just as you were being pulled from his hold by his mother .
As you smiled for the pictures you couldn't help but think about how you couldn't have ever asked for a better support system , because of them your graduation day was so magical .

After eating dinner with everyone heeseung told you he had one more place to take you . The drive there had you more than curious as you'd asked enough questions that he probably wouldn't finish answering them until 5 years from now .
When the car stopped you looked around seeing that the two of you were at the beach , skeptical you still stepped out of the car as he'd held the door open for you . Once your hand was in his he led you down to the water . It was so pretty , especially during the sunset , you hadn't even noticed heeseung had let your hand go as you were so mesmerized by it .
"Baby" he called and you turned around slowly still trying to appreciate the beauty of nature . When you did turn all the way around your eyes got huge as heeseung was down on one knee . "Hee-" "baby it's just a promise ring hear me out okay" he smiled and you gulped and nodded .
"Since the second i laid my eyes on you during freshman year i knew you were my person . I watched you so intently i couldn't even pay attention to the tour and didn't learn the way to all of my classes until a month later , but you can't blame me .. in my eyes flowers literally grew when you walked" you giggled as your eyes started tearing up again .
"My friends would often say that a normal person would give up after being rejected 30+ times but i guess im not a normal person . No matter how many times you ignored or rejected me i kept trying because even my soul was telling me that i needed you , i was drawn to you my soul to yours , you're literally my soulmate baby" he said as his voice cracked a bit , this made your tears finally fall .
"I will marry you someday but right now even though we're still young and we have a lot of life ahead of us i need you to promise me , promise me that with this ring the day that i replace this one with a wedding band will come , i don't see my life being one without you in it , you literally complete me and i'd be dammed if i didn't marry you and i love you this much .. so baby , promise me" he sniffled as his gaze burned into your tearful one .
You threw your head back and mouthed a thank you to god and your spirit guides . "With this ring , i promise that i would be more than happy to be your wife and spend the rest of my life with you heeseung" you spoke as your tears fell .
Heeseung slid the ring on your finger and pulled you into a tight hug both of your faces stained with tears . "Also i didn't reject you 30+ times" you said making the both of you laugh "baby let me have this" he said making you laugh harder .
Heeseung held your hand in his snapping a picture of the ring on your finger and posting it to his twitter account with the caption "soon to be engaged" you kissed his lips and walked along the sea with him naming this as the best day of your life so far .

"I found an article" you said from the kitchen when heeseung had gotten in from his morning run . "What does it say?" "NBA star lee heeseung gives his emo psychologist girlfriend a promise ring" you say with a goofy smile in your face . "It literally does not say that" he laughs as he comes up behind you wrapping his arms around your waist and kissing your cheek before resting his head on your shoulder . "Let me have this" you said quoting him and he laughed making you laugh as well .
