Johnny sat on the couch reading his book in silence as he waited for you to come back home . He'd cleaned your entire apartment, made dinner and done your laundry .
This morning you'd told him about a meeting with your family and he knew how those always went . He'd asked to go with you as your boyfriend for emotional support but you told him you'd be fine . Johnny was always patient and understanding with you so he'd accepted your decision and watched as you left quietly after giving him a kiss .
2 hours later and no call or text came from you so he assumed that maybe this time went better than the others .

He heard the code being put in the door causing him to look up from his book as the door opened and closed .
Quiet sniffles covered the once silent apartment and that's when he knew the same thing had happened all over again . His chest tightened as he heard you crying while removing your shoes wanting nothing more than to run to you and hold you in his arms but he waited for you to come to him .
When you'd emerged out of the hallway he stood up seeing your tearful eyes staring up at him .. still no words being spoken . He held out his arms to you and for a second you hesitated which was nothing new , he knows you're not used to comfort but that doesn't stop him from doing it .
Your eyes started to water more than before as you tried to hold the tears back but this time you weren't strong enough . You slowly walked towards him and pressed your face into his chest as he wrapped his arms around you , at this muffled choked sobs filled his ears and pain filled his heart .
He never understood why your family treated you the way they did , especially after everything that you'd done and sacrificed for them but he did understand that you didn't understand that either and that hurt him even more . Poor you :(
