3rd Person 🌻
They sat in silence like they did whenever y/n was lost in her thoughts . Seunghan didn't talk because he knew something was wrong & that most likely it was his fault , he knew how he made her feel but speaking about it out loud was so embarrassing he just didn't say anything .
Cars , busses & trains made noise all over the city , mixing with the sounds of the animals and insects that roamed the night . They played a great part in why y/n was so comfortable in her silence , the sound of the outside world mixed with the million thoughts running in her mind calmed her a little so she didn't feel the need to speak up about the awkwardness .
Falling in love with your best friend was so stupid , she knew that better than anyone which is why it irritates her so bad that she's in love with him . Telling seunghan she was in love with him 2 years ago at his birthday party seemed like a good idea then but now she wishes she could go back in time and just not say anything at all .
Seunghan never gave her a response , he just brushed it off with a weird smile before accusing her of being drunk when she hadn't even had a drop of alcohol . She was scared of losing him so bringing it up again a later time was never an option , but then it started to get weird between the 2 of them so she started to avoid him , though she secretly did hope that he'd come to her and say something .. she waited and waited when nothing ever happened .
Then eventually they weren't as close as they were before , talking all day everyday went to texting maybe once or twice a week , conversations short and boring . No more y/n at the lunch table , weekend hangouts were cut short for her too , whenever seunghan showed up she'd make an excuse about having to work just to go wander the streets .
When seunghan got a girlfriend everyone was confused , even their other friends but not y/n . She figured he disregarded her confession because he didn't like her back & being the adult she is , she forced herself to not be mad about it but still nothing changed . Until 3 months ago ..

"Anybody heard from y/n?" seunghan asked as he walked into wonbins house with his girlfriend (that none of them liked may i add).
No one said anything which seunghan found weird . "Okay .. so now everyone can't talk?" he said in irritation and his girlfriend noticed clinging to his arm a bit tighter .
Sungchan on the other hand was tired of seunghan & has been for the past year now as he was y/ns step brother he always felt the need to protect her , when she told him what happened between her and seunghan she had to beg sungchan to not say or do anything to him which wasn't easy , now that she wasn't here though he had nothing else holding him back .
"She left" he said looking up from his phone . "What do you mean she left?" seunghan asked pulling his arm from his girlfriends hold . "Left where?" "Why does it fucking matter" "She went to go visit her grandma for a while" sungchan and wonbin spoke at the same time .
"What's your problem?" seunghan asked sungchan who was visibly upset now . "You , my fucking problem is you seunghan" sungchan said as he stood up and walked over to seunghan . "What was wrong with y/n? why did you do that to her?" sungchan asked and seunghan was confused . "My sister cried on my shoulder so many times , sat on the roof staring up at the sky for many sleepless nights all because of you , because you chose this bitch over her" sungchan said gesturing to seunghans girlfriend .
"Watch your mouth" "Fuck you" sungchan pushed seunghan and everyone else stood up to get between them before they started fighting . Seunghan was breathing heavily , glaring at sungchan as eunseok and shotaro held him back . He snatched out of their hold and stormed out of the house as his girlfriend ran behind him .
one call , two calls , three four and five , 17 messages all unsent .. she'd blocked him . His phone hit the ground , shattering itself from how hard he'd thrown it down . fuck .

after 3 months came back , it's graduation time finally . Seunghan had come with everyone to pick her up , waiting for everyone to finish greeting her he was the last one . He smiled at her & she cracked a small one for him . It had only been 3 months but she looked different , her clothing style was different from the last time he'd seen her , she'd also had short black braids the last time he'd seen her and now her hair was red & braided down to her calves .
She had piercings and tattoos but even under that he could still see his y/n . He stepped up to hug her but she took a step back making him confused as he tried again and she did the same thing . Seeing his expression change she waved at him leaving him to accept that and do the same .
"I have so much to tell you even though we talked everyday" sohee said as he walked over to y/n linking his arm in hers . She leaned against his shoulder as they walked out of the airport and to sungchans truck .

now here they were sitting on top of y/n and sungchans house , the silence between the two of them so quiet you couldn't even hear the other breathe .
"How's your girlfriend?" she asked finally and seunghan sighed knowing he didn't wanna talk about another woman with y/n . "She's okay .. i guess i don't know , we haven't really been in a good place lately" he said and y/n nodded staring out into the distance again .
silence took over them again but this time seunghan was the one with the sad thoughts . He thought what if he would've just confessed to her back when she did , they'd be happy right now .. he'd be happy right now .
Y/n on the other hand was kind of at peace , after all the crying and doubting herself , the changes she went through mentally , physically and emotionally .. she was completely comfortable content with their stand point and it made her happy because it meant she was no longer destroying herself , waiting for him .
