Chapter 77: His Nightmare 🌃💀

Recap: Arjun found out the reason behind Sana's accident.

Arjun's vision blurred due to the unfocused view in front of him. No, it wasn't because of his tears, it's the water droplets falling ferociously on the car windshield. His eyes are dry long back along with his throat, but his mind was clouded with rage. Unfiltered, pure anger burned inside him.

The street lights are turned off due to the power cut but he keeps getting a flash of light from time to time due to the thundering storms. Arjun pressed the gas pedal more forcefully increasing the speed of the car in the wet road without even worrying about his safety.

He can't think of anything other than killing the **** Shaurya in his own hands at the moment. To make Shaurya suffer more than the pain undergone by him and his Sana due to Shaurya's obnoxious behaviour.

His phone kept ringing numerous times in the backseat but he ignored it all and kept his full focus on sketching all the ways to make Shaurya suffer.

In his rage filled eyes and the wet windshield, he failed to notice a woman standing in front of his car. It was too late to press the break as the woman was standing too near to the car and even the tyres also didn't help to grip the wet road strongly.

His face turned to horror as he sat in the driving seat uselessly not able to stop the car. It happened so slowly like a slow-motioned memory. The car hit the girl so hard that she flies away falling far away from the car.

It was just a second, but Arjun saw it. He saw each and every emotion flickering through the woman's face. In between two stripes of water droplets, he saw her innocent filled eyes that stares at his with a confused face before his car crashes her. Which grew wide in shock and fear on seeing the car too close.

He saw her face too close when her hip which got dashed by the car bonnet caused her to flip and get another hit on her head on his car windshield. Now there were no water streaks on the windshield as the viper had wiped down the rain, but now it's replaced with blood.

But amidst the pool of blood, Arjun saw her clearly. Her pale face and the blood soaked nuptial chain dangling in front of her while she stared at Arjun straightly. A look that shows her hurt and disappointment on him as he failed to protect her.

With a hint of betrayal, a look that kills him instantly. An accusing look which says he was the killer as he failed to protect her. He failed her. A look that will forever haunt him.

The tires screeched to a halt just before her lifeless body. Arjun screamed Sana's name so loudly that it echoed to him again in the deep forest. Her lifeless body lays in the middle of the road staring right back at him.

He ran and kneel beside her body in the heavy rain, but he felt hot rather than cold. He felt his body burning rather than getting wet in the rain.

He saw another body, a small body laying beside Sana. He wasn't able to see the small body clearly. But he knows. His subconscious knows who it was very well. His baby. His own blood in the road with a bloodied body. All because of him. Because of his failed attempt at protecting them.

He dragged his shivering fingers towards the baby slowly to touch the baby, to feel or to atleast smell the baby at least once; only to feel himself getting shaken quite hard. He crossed his hands over his eyes as the sudden flash of lights blinded him.

Someone kept patting his cheeks several times. The brighter light causes Arjun to scrunch his eyes. He slowly opened his eyelids and saw Sana standing beside the bed looking at him worriedly. Arjun's mind is confused, he blinked several times trying to make sense of the happening.
