The boys were born from privilege, pride, and perfectly manicured bloodlines. No one welcomed her. No one cared.

We were driving to the outskirts; Adarsh was driving, and Rudra sat beside him with his eyes fixed on the dark road ahead. Atharyu and I were in the back seat.
Behind us, Aditya and Ranveer followed in another car.
The deeper we drove into the forest-lined road, the more the world faded into shadows. By the time the car stopped, I was already feeling the chill of the weather outside.
Adarsh brought the car to a stop in a narrow, dark alley. From where I sat, I could see silhouettes of Atharyu's men, hidden behind trees and behind metal scraps, blending into the night like they were carved out of it.
I was playing with my seatbelt when Atharyu took out his phone. The moment the call connected, a voice on the other side spoke in a clipped and professional tone.
"Sir, all exits checked. The north side has two guards—both armed. The east entrance has four, patrolling in intervals of forty seconds. The back door is locked from the inside, but there is only one guard there. No movement on the roof. But we still couldn't confirm the presence of the girls inside the building. Cameras are only in the main corridor. We can blind them for sixty seconds when you give the signal."
Atharyu nodded and hummed.
"Stay hidden. No one moves until my order."
"Yes, sir."
He ended the call and looked at me.
"Maheer," he said quietly, "you stay here with Adarsh. We'll go inside."
I snorted. "Nice try."
"Maheer—"
"I am coming," I cut him off, pushing the door open. "Unless you want to drag me out and waste more time."
Rudra muttered, "She's right," under his breath.
Atharyu gave him a cold glare. "Do not encourage her."
The moment I stepped out, Aditya and Ranveer walked over from their car.
Before anyone could say anything, Aditya frowned at something behind me.
"What," he said sharply, "is he doing here? "
Everyone turned.
And we have Veeransh walking toward us with hands in pockets. And that black leather jacket looks so good....
Shut up, shut up.
"The host of this mission herself invited me," he said, eyes cutting straight to me.
I felt four pairs of eyes burn into my skull.
I swallowed and forced myself to keep a straight face. "Yes," I said, acting like this was no big deal. "He... might be of some help."
