The night is in full swing; the clink of glasses, whispering , and impatient glances at watches on their wrists.
On the other hand, Aditya is typing furiously on his laptop. Beside him sat Rudra, whose eyes did not blink for a second.
Their hearts were thumping loudly as if about to come outside.
They vividly remember the day when they found Maheer's location in some isolated place near Kashmir.
They wasted no time reaching there.
That day Lakshay, Atharyu's most trusted man, was two hours away from the location for his personal work.
So Atharyu asked him to go there and keep an eye on that place till they arrive.
When Lakshay sensed something was wrong and knowing Maheer was inside, he couldn't stop and tried to get entry into the abandoned house.
And the next thing they know is that the house blasts due to some wire default combining with gas containers stored in there.
They themselves saw the house consumed by the fire.
They feared that they lost their sister and the man who was much more than just the person who worked for them.
But they didn't believe what transpired until they found out the remains of Lakshay and of a girl. Which was confirmed after DNA that she is Maheer.
They came back to the present when Aditya found a CCTV footage of the back side of the building from where Maheer was carried out in an unconscious state by a man. Who is none other than Maheer's cousin, Varun Mittal.
Seeing her make it out of the fire alive made Aditya and Rudra's eyes blur with tears.
"S-she," Rudra spoke, wiping the tears from the back of his hand.
"Why didn't we know? But where is she now?" Rudra, turning towards Aditya, who was watching the footage on loop. "We need to find her. Let's inform Atharyu."
When Aditya didn't make any movement. Rudra shook his shoulder.
"We need to find her," he spoke, eyes twinkling with happiness.
"I-I know where she is." Aditya hurriedly opened the door of the car to make his way inside. Rudra followed him wordlessly. Because right now he just wants to see her with his eyes—breathing.
Immediately spotting the table where the others are sitting, Rudra and Aditya hurriedly walk towards them.
They couldn't hold themselves from informing the others.
"Atharyu," "Bhai"
The emotional stirring from their words didn't go unnoticed by the others.
"Rudra Bhai," Avni stood up from her seat to hug Rudra, who had been grinning since the time Aditya told him that Maheer was here.
