A.I -
The 8th floor all by myself. This place was like the twilight zone. I never heard anyone entering or leaving their rooms, but I knew there were other guests, I just never saw them.
1 month to be spent essentially cut off from the rest of the world. From my family, friends, and my girlfriend.. who kinda hated me at the moment. So maybe all this was good. Maybe a break from everything was what we all needed.
I relaxed with a couple beers to pass some of the time. I heard a knock on my door, startling me. It was 10pm on our second night and I hadn't left the room yet.
I slipped a tee - shirt over my head and walked to the door. I pulled the door open revealing a girl with dark brown hair and a huge smile across her face.
"uh - Hi." I smiled back as she grinned at me.
"Hi Ashton. Oh my god it is you! " She covered a hand over her mouth.
"Do we know each other?" I giggled awkwardly
"No- sorry." She tried to calm herself down.
She was a fan. She was cute. But how did she find me?
After a few breaths she spoke again. "My names Lucy." She smiled
"Nice to meet you Lucy. Do you like the band?"
"I... like you." She giggled nervously and I could feel myself blush.
"Oh well thank you. How did you um-"
"I'm staying here with a friend, we're on break. I passed you and realised who you were." She continued to smile at me.
Something about her was sorta mesmerising. She was tall but shorter than me and she had big brown eyes that were kinda adorable. She was wearing a floral dress that was quite short. But I didn't mind that.
We stood there staring at each other. I felt bad keeping her standing at my door. I glanced over my shoulder at the not-to-messy hotel room behind me.
"Do you wanna come in for a bit?
Her eyes lit up. "yeah I'd love to."
I opened the door all the way allowing her to pass me.
She scanned the room, and sat cautiously down on the couch, crossing her legs.
I grabbed my self a beer from the fridge and pulled the only non- alcoholic beverage out for her. A juice box.
She laughed as I handed it to her.
"Thanks. I'm not twelve by the way, I'm nineteen."
I felt relieved, that made this a lot less creepy, still weird, but less creepy. I mean I would never do something like this usually, but what's so wrong with talking to a fan for more than 10 seconds every so often?
"Hey by the way, no one really knows we're here, that's kinda why we're here for a month. So if you could kinda sorta not tell anyone about this? Even your friend." I spoke slightly nervous that I had made a huge mistake.
"No problem. It's our secret." She smiled.
