ANNABELLE'S POV

"You're joking?!" I scream in excitement, as I stretch.

The kitchen echoed loudly as my mother laughed at my idiocy.

Ashton had organized a few days ago to take me and the boys away on a road trip for my birthday, I am so excited. Mum gave in even! For my birthday, she said she'd felt bad for grounding me and making me angry but she did what had to be done, and repaired my phone for a massive upgrade from my iPhone 4 to a 6!

"Mum, this is all too much, and these phones are expensive!" I hesitate, my excitement showing through.

"You want me to take it back?" She challenges as I giggle.

"Course not!" We both laugh as I unravel the pristine plastic wrap, revealing the white box which was to hold my new mobile phone.

"But really sweetie, your other phone wasn't working well for you, was it?"

"No, but a 6 wasn't necessary, thank you so much though Mum!" I squeal as I engulf her in a hug.

"Alright, alright, put that little card inside of it and it should work, the lady at the store told me that!" She admires, proudly.

"I know, I know." I cheekily say as I wave the phone in front of her.

"Go and pack for your week away Missy, you'll be back Saturday at the latest, remind Ashton." She winked.

I shrug my shoulders with relief, knowing that this week was the week my school has where it's two days off, one for a 'Staff only day,' 'Open day,' for people showing interest in the school, and the rest of the week is when internals are due, and apparently neither myself or the boys have any, so we won't miss school, just the assessments due, which none of us have anyway.

I grab my blue Nike sports bag and throw it on the ground near the door to my walk-in wardrobe. It seems so quite in my room, so I grab my new phone, the metal feeling cold against my warm skin.

I spend the next hour putting songs, photos, contacts, games and apps on my phone. Yes, I'm the worlds BIGGEST procrastinator. But, music made me more motivated. So, as I turned on my music and walked back inside my wardrobe, throwing clothes on the floor that I would take, so I can then pack them.

It wasn't a massive wardrobe, but it was spacious. I had the back wall of the wardrobe with dresses, jeans and coats hung up on coat hangers, one side of shoes, which no, not your typical high heels wall of shoes. I had the odd high heels, or wedges/platform shoes, but mostly my flats and sneakers. If you were to ever see my shoes, you would never find a pair of ballet pumps, I hate those shoes. My shoes mainly consisted of Converse, Vans, Nike or Keds. On the other wall, I had my shirts, sweaters and other various pants folded in drawers, then in the corner was my underwear drawer, by far my favorite.

No, I don't have a fetish for underwear or anything, but I have to admit, chucking a nice pair of underwear on every so often makes me feel more pretty, confident, I don't know.

I was very lucky to have my mother. I despised her at times, but she was a great woman. I always hated it when she would buy all these incredible clothing brands and threads for me, she always knew what I liked, although I was grateful, guilt always washed over me.

Packing my bag messily, I chucked in some plain white loose shorts and a few singlets and shirts of various colors, not bothered to pack my best clothes, seeing as it's just the boys. I also included my undergarments, and some knitted, long length cardigans.

'Kitchen Sink' came on Shuffle and I sang along with it, even owning the verse where Zach Joseph raps. The song was played religiously, I knew every single syllable.
