The next morning, I awoke to the sound of Calum sniffling. My ears perked slightly as I sat upright, my fragile bones creaking slightly as I rubbed my eyes, focusing and darting them around the room.

"You alright?" I squeak as he nods, "Hay fever." He seemed convincing so I pushed the blankets off my body and stood up.

"Uh, Anna?"

"Yo," I replied with a stiff laugh, causing Calum to shake his head and smirk.

"It's 11:30, I didn't want to wake you." He fumbled with his hair at the back of his neck. I shook it off lightly as I began to speak.

"It's alright, I wasn't planning on going to sch-" Then a thought hit my mind. My mother's flight was leaving at 12:15 and I hadn't said goodbye, whether we left it in a bad place or not, "Shit!!! I need you to drive me to the airport Cal!" I scream, grabbing my phone and shoes, trying to sprint towards the door.

"Easy, just be quiet, I don't know if the rents are in," he whispered, referring to his parents. All I did was nod as we crept downstairs, and into his car, I felt messy and dirty, still in clothes I slept in and my hair a birds nest.

As the engine roared to life, I turned on my phone. Texts buzzing through.

You're not at school yet whuuttt

"Shit." I cuss, causing Calum to ask what's up.

"Ash has been texting me all morning." I groan, stress overtaking me quickly.

"Focus on Jo first, then Ash later, yeah?" And I nod in agreement. I have to say goodbye to mum before she goes, or else I'll be left with guilt.

10 minutes later, we arrived at the airport. 11:43am.

"Run." Calum giggled as I unbuckled my seat beat and laughed, sighing a deep breath before running through the car park cautiously.

The terminal was full as I rushed through, stopping at the shops. My head snapped in all different directions. The TV showed the gate for the people boarding for Melbourne and my feet carried me that direction. I pushed through crowds of suitcases and passengers.
