My alarm awakens me. I groan an un-woman like groan and turn over, slamming my finger on the snooze button.
"Somebody doesn't like mornings." I scream as I hear a man's voice, throwing my head up to see who it is. I see Ashton's figure in leaning against the door way, chuckling.
"You scared me," I scold him, collapsing back into my bed. "What are you even doing here?" My words are muffled as I speak into the pillow.
"Your mum left early, and text me to remind me that I'm taking you to school, so I uh, made you breakfast." He mumbles, although I'm half asleep, a smile creeps onto my face.
"Who stayed here last night?" He was quick to change the subject, and then last nights memories flash into my head. I shook them away and lifted my head.
"Luke, showed up because I didn't reply to his text and then just crashed," I lied, again. Guilt guilt guilt.
"Typical Hemmings eh?"
A yawn escaped my mouth and I huffed again, "I'm not ready to wake up."
Ashton laughs, "I'm ready for you to wake up, I'll be back in a second." And with that, he exits my room.
I take the opportunity to slam open my drawer on the bedside table and take out my Listerine strip, just in case. I laugh to myself and yawn again, falling back onto the mattress of my bed. Footsteps approach my bedroom.
"Wake uuuup," Ashton drags along, I groan again in response and laugh. "Nah."
"Come on princess, you'll be late," he says just above a whisper, my cheeks sting pink and I look up at him, as he comes closer.
I suck in a big breathe and huff it out, causing Ash to laugh and me to pick myself up from my comfortable kingdom of a bed. The lack of energy in my system causing me to walk over to Ashton and purposely fall into his frame. He is taken by surprise but remains still and he chuckles. He wraps his arms around my neck and I sling my arms around his torso, my head still in his chest in result of his tall build and my short build.
I sigh and look up at him, his face giving me the energy to smile. I stand on my tip toes and he looks down at me, our mouths colliding softly for a second.
"Minty, too bad I know you had one of those," he whispers, pointing to the container of strips. The voice in my head laughs, I mentally face palm.
"Breakfast time?" I squeak in question, trying my best to ignore his comment. He hums an answer and I smile at him.
"Get changed first." I nod at his request and stroll into the bathroom, him leaving my room.
My phone buzzes and I quickly grab it before heading into my bathroom.

I'm sorry I had to leave for work early, since I'm taking this
week off I guess I have to. What do you think about a few
movies and pizza for dinner? Love you xo
To: Mum
It's alright, as long as we can hang out tonight! Movies and
pizza sounds good, love you too xo
20 minutes later, I'm clothed, washed and ready for school. Makeup's done, hair is done and I feel a bit more energized. Looking up and down at the reflection in the mirror, I'm happy with how I look and I jog downstairs.
