ANNABELLE'S POV
I woke up this morning to somebody tapping on my shoulder. I tried my hardest to ignore it but I knew whoever was tapping me wouldn't stop.
I groaned loudly as I turned over, rubbing my eyes and focusing on the boy with a mop of purple hair spiked over his head.
"You've never been a morning person have you Annie?" Michael giggles.
"I told you to stop calling me that Mike." Repeating my groan as he chuckles.
He sat their, awkwardly tapping his fingers on his knees as he sat cross legged on the side of my bed, replacing Ashton. He kept his head down, coming across as upset.
Usually Michael knows exactly what to say, him and I have always been extremely close. Calum was always the person to count on for a laugh, he was just Calum, there wasn't anything else to say. He was just the type you could play fight with or chill with, Luke was the ex - my best friend. Despite our breakup, we stuck together like nothing ever happened. The reason for our split was slightly awkward but nothing stopped us from being best friends. Michael on the other hand, a whole new level of trust. He was literally the most amazing, trustworthy and loyal boy who had ever set foot on earth, always knew what to say and knew how to make me happier.
Which is why I'm wondering why he won't say anything.
"It's your birthday." His voice creaks. I squeal with excitement as I throw my hands dramatically in the air, Mike stifling a laugh.
"What's up?" I say as I readjust my position, now fully upright.
"It's jus- nah, it's stupid, don't worry." He shakes his head as I gave him a stern look.
"Michael." I warned as he heaved in a big sigh.
"I liked Rosie, I thought she felt the same the night we got together at the club." He choked.
How could he like her? She was nothing but disgusting. I pushed aside my thoughts and thought about helping my friend.
"Carry on." I felt like I had swallowed a rock.
He breathed out hard, "I'm so stupid, I thought she liked me yet she fucked both of my best friends!" He growled.
"I'm sorry Mike, but if I'm being really honest, just leave her, she's a sleep around, she doesn't care about anyone, not even me."
"I can't help how I feel Annie," he groaned, as I ignored his nickname, "I didn't think she'd let me bone her and then move on to my mates, let alone the rest of the school."
I laughed at his choice of words as he smirked, shaking his head.
"Have you guys talked since, y'know?" He asked and I immediately shook my head as Michael threw his head back laughing.
"C'mon then sunshine, you got some presents out there, I just dibbed to be the first to see you!" He winked as I giggled, standing up and stretching.
"Lemme brush my teeth first." I shooed him away as he saluted me sloppily and dawdled out of the room.
"Happy birthday Anna!" The boys all cheered as I pranced into the kitchen, grinning like an idiot.
I look up to the roof of the living area and notice the roof is covered in blue and purple helium balloons, birthday decorations scattered around the room.
"Wow!" I scream, astonished, "Thank you guys so much!" I hug each of the boys with gratefulness and as I reach Ashton, he pulls me in for a big kiss. I wrap my arms loosely around his neck and smile into the kiss, him doing the same.
