I just wanted to take a moment to clear up a few things. First of all, thank you so much for your love, support, and honest feedback. It truly means a lot to me that you not only read my stories but also share your thoughts so openly.

I’ve noticed that some of you feel Alex and her family should have faced a stronger lesson after the five-year leap, and that forgiving Alex didn’t feel right. I completely understand where you're coming from—trust is the foundation of any relationship, and once it’s broken, it’s not easy to rebuild.

However, Aakriti’s decision was never just about Alex; it was about her own growth and healing. She had spent years carrying the burden of betrayal, pain, and unresolved emotions.
But at some point, she had to ask herself—was holding on to resentment truly serving her, or was it only keeping her trapped in the past? Forgiving Alex was not about erasing what had happened or excusing his actions; it was about freeing herself from the emotional chains that had held her back for so long.
Sometimes, forgiveness is not about the other person but about choosing peace for oneself. Aakriti understood that trust could not be rebuilt overnight, nor did she expect things to go back to the way they were. But she also knew that she had changed, evolved, and become stronger.
Her decision to forgive was a reflection of that strength—a choice to move forward on her own terms, without letting past betrayals dictate her future. Life isn’t always black and white; sometimes, it’s about making peace with the gray areas and choosing what brings inner peace.
